The Faraway Islands

Sailing not too Far Away to The Faraway Islands.

We don’t mean to boast but once you have done one yachting holiday with us the chances are you would like to do another. As wonderful as it is revisiting your favourite places you can’t beat the thrill of exploring somewhere new.

Out of Corfu we normally head South to the islands of Paxos and Anti-Paxos, however if you head North there are a trio of islands that are simple, beautiful and deliver on undiscovered charm.

Also known as The Diapondia Islands, The Faraways are made up of Erikoussa, Othoni and Mathraki. Each have their own identity but all boast spectacular swimming locations, beautiful beaches and a view of Corfu that has to be seen.

Your Itinerary

Day 1 - Welcome to Corfu!

Be transported to your yacht in Gouvia Marina and welcomed onboard with a glass of something cold and delicious.

After a safety briefing and welcome leave the marina and head North.

Sail between Corfu and Albania before bearing to port and the bay of Vroulias.

Enjoy an evening swim and dinner onboard cooked by your private chef.

Day 2 - Big Sail Day.

It is a big sail day today as you head further North to the peaceful Erikoussa and the first of the Faraways.

Enjoy lunch onboard as you take in the views and escape the crowds.

Look out for dolphins before dropping anchor or mooring in the new marina.

Day 3 - Explore Erikoussa.

Spend a relaxing morning exploring the island taking in the smell of heather and cypress trees.

Back onboard your chef has prepared a wonderful Greek feast to enjoy.

Have a gentle sail to one of three stunning beaches and enjoy dinner onboard under the stars.

Day 4 - Go West!

Leave Erikoussa and set your compass West for the second and largest of the Faraways: Othoni.

Othoni is actually the westernmost land area in Greece and is filled with lush vegetation.

Visit stunning coves, beaches and the cave of Calypso herself.

Day 5 - Simple and Beautiful.

The last of The Faraway Islands is the welcoming and beautiful Mathraki.

Famous for privacy and simplicity, its ribbons of sandy beaches are some of the best in Greece and most only accessible by yacht.

Make use of the paddleboards and explore the coastline.

Sail back towards Erikoussa for fresh fish at a local taverna.

Day 6 - Back to Corfu.

It is time to head back towards Corfu.

Feel the wind on your face and take in that Vitamin Sea as your yacht cuts through the water.

Find a spot on the quay in the pretty and traditional village of Kassiopi.

Stretch your legs and explore shops and tavernas alike.

Day 7 - Bay Hopping.

Leave the dock before breakfast and tuck into a bay to enjoy bakery goodness on the bow.

Have a go at waterskiing or go wild on the ringo.

Enjoy a pleasant and gentle day hopping in and out of bays before ending your day in Agni.

Longline to the rocks and be tendered ashore to one of two tavernas for a delicious final night.

Day 8 - A Fond Farewell.

All that’s left to do this morning is enjoy a final breakfast onboard before the short journey back to Gouvia Marina.

You may have travelled to the Faraway Islands but another holiday onboard with us is never Far Away.
