Authentic adventures made easy

Tanzania is a very large country, offering a breathtaking variety of landscapes. Tanzania is often subdivided into two parts, the northern parks and the southern parks, so how do you pick the best safari holiday? This is were we come in place! Talk to Daphne, our Africa Safari Specialist.

The northern parks are often the best option for a first photo safari. The Big 5 are accessible via the various reserves, the distances are not as far as in the south and the budget is often lower.

However, a safari in the southern parks allows you to discover an authentic Tanzania, meet the local people and discover different landscapes than in the north.

Inspire me!

At this point I like to say that I love Tanzania!  Firstly, the people are so friendly, secondly the amazing wildlife. Thirdly, there is a huge cultural diversity with many talented. For example, the artistic people who create some amazing crafts.  Hence, no introduction needed – its centre stage to the Lion King! Certainly you are humming ‘Hakuna Matata’ by now?!  That is to say, in Tanzania things are really ‘Hakuna Matata’ or –  for us –  ‘No Problem’!  Which means, offering you an unforgettable selection of Tanzania safaris is really ‘Hakuna Matata’!

Moreover, this has to be one of the most iconic safari destinations in Africa. Given that it offers an opportunity to witness the incredible migration who roam the endless plains of the Serengeti.  In fact, the migration is an all year event. Hence, depending on which time of the year, you can view the wildebeests at the different stages of their journey. Obviously, each offering some incredible wildlife viewing.  For example, this is easily combined with a few nights in the Karatu area to visit the Ngorongoro Crater.  Basically, the crater is like a ‘natural zoo’. Due to this, it is great to spent a day visiting the Crater floor.

Nevertheless, my all time favourite park is the ‘less famous’ Tarangire National Park. A beautiful reserve lined with baobab trees and frequented by loads of elephants.  Nearby is the Lake Manyara Park, famous for its tree climbing lions! Above this all, we have not even touched on the southern parks of Ruaha and Selous. These also offer some unique game viewing experiences.

Hello! I am Daphne

Your African personal travel expert. I’ve spent months in the countries to make sure you get the best out of the few weeks you have.

Ngorongoro Crater
This crater is teaming with wildlife - and is one of the few places in Tanzania you will see rhino. The only animal you wont see if the giraffe cause the walls of the crater are too steep for them to descend.
Serengeti National Park
The most famous parks of Africa - the Serengeti, meaning 'Endless Plains'... and the backdrop for the wildebeeste migration
Kilimanjaro International Airport
The main arrival airport to start the northern safari circuit in Tanzania
Arusha
The main 'safari hub' of the northern Tanzania safari circuit.
Tarangire National Park
This park is slightly less 'famous' but offers some fantastic game viewing and has some amazing Baobab tree forests. Slightly less 'busy' than some of the other parks. A favourite...
Lake Manyara National Park
Famous for its resident 'tree climbing lions' the Lake Manyara Park is worth a visit and is a popular lunch stop from Arusha to the Crater.
Selous Game Reserve
Located in the southern Tanzania and offers a diverse safari experience from traditional game drives to some boat experiences.
Dar es Salaam
Southern Tanzania and convenient access if including Selous or Zanzibar into your holiday.
