Ready for some serious sailing?

Whether you are a serious sailor or you are have just started your yachting adventure, joining one of our luxury yachts is a trip of lifetime. This itinerary is created for those who dream of some high performance sailing and are ready for the ultimate holiday spent under canvas.  The exact route will of course always be subject to the weather and safe mooring choices, however your Captain will work with you to ensure you enjoy the perfect holiday, enjoying as much time under sail as possible.

You will explore the best bays and villages, starting at Corfu and the Faraway Islands before wending your way South to Kefalonia, via Paxos. Lefkas, Meganissi and Greek Mainland make up your route with a stunning combination of ‘upwind’ and ‘downwind’ sailing days, taking advantage of the prevailing Greek winds.

The route involves a large amount of time spent under canvas, but there is always time to use our various on board “water sports toys” (include water-skiing, wakeboarding, ringo, windsurfing, SUP and snorkelling).

For those looking for the ultimate serious sailing experience, we would recommend either Lunous or Argentous.  They are the most powerful sailing yachts in our fleet, with differing sail plans for exquisite choice.

Your Itinerary

Day 1 - The Start Line.

Arrive on the beautiful Corfu and transfer to the marina.

After a short briefing the skipper will get you out of the marina, in the quickest time, to find a nice anchorage for an evening swim and a relaxing dinner either onboard or at a local taverna.

We love Kassiopi in the North or Petriti to the South.

Day 2 - The Faraways.

After breakfast you will be ready to sail.

Our aim on this trip is to make the most of the yacht and include as much sailing as possible.

This means around 5 or 6 hours of improving your sailing skills a day.

Even if you are complete beginner at the start of the week by the end you should be able to have the competence and confidence to take the helm yourself and enjoy the thrill of sailing a luxury yacht.

Gaios on Paxos

Day 3 - Paxos.

For groups who want to cover more miles, then a route with a loop down to the South Ionian (Lefkas, Meganisi and Kefalonia) is a great option.

Start the journey South by setting your compass for Paxos, the conveniently placed island between Corfu and Lefkas (some believe Poseidon himself put it here!).

Spend the night in the town of Gaios or the village of Longos and sample local delights at the many tavernas on offer.

Day 4 - Kefalonia.

It is an early start this morning to make the most of your day and keep heading South.

Enjoy breakfast on the move as you tack past the outside of Lefkada.

Arrive in Kefalonia with time on your hands to enjoy a beautiful lunch onboard.

Take advantage of the watersports equipment in the afternoon before venturing ashore to dine in the beautiful Fiskardo.

Day 5 - Meganissi.

After the long sailing legs of the previous days take today to have a slower start embracing the Mediterranean lifestyle.

Gently zig-zag your way North again to the island of Meganissi enjoying a playful sail back and forth catching the wind blowing down through the hills and gullies.

Dine onboard in a secluded bay or tick off another island on your list. We love the ambiance of Little Vathi.

Day 6 - Greek Mainland.

The Lefkas channel is not for the fainthearted but is a sight indeed on your homeward stretch back to the ‘North Ionian’.

Another big sailing day…who will be the top helms-person of the day and will you spot dolphins as you eat up the miles.

Choose from any of the lovely towns on the Greek Mainland be it Parga, Sivota Mourtos or Plateria or venture back to the beautiful Paxos.

Mandraki as the starting destination in a slow sailing itinerary.

Day 7 - Mandraki.

Your final full serious sailing day on the water.

Have a lazy morning, enjoying a paddleboard or relaxing swim to the shore and back.

Hoist those sails, and enjoy the wind in your hair as you cut through the waves and head for the impressive Mandraki Fortress to spend your final evening in Corfu Town.

Day 8 - The Finish Line.

Time to say goodbye to your crew and yacht.

Our driver will pick you up and take you to the airport – not quite the mode of transport you’re used to but pleasant nonetheless.

By that time you might want to start planning your next sailing holiday – or even worse – we’ve lost track of the number of guests who go on to buy their own yacht!
