Discover Salvador, Brazil’s first capital city, with its breathtaking historic centre Pelourinho and its peaceful Bay of All Saints. For a perfect combination, relax a few days on the car-free beautiful island of Morro de São Paulo. It is about 2h away by boat from Salvador and offers a paradisiacal island atmosphere, great white sand beaches, turquoise waters and lively nightlife. This trip is a call to all foodies and great to do at anytime during the year. A really great option for couples and honeymooners.

Day 1 - Salvador

On arrival in Salvador you will be met and escorted to the hotel. Spend the day at leisure in the vibrant and colourful Bahian capital – one of the oldest cities in Brazil. On the streets of Salvador you can watch capoeira presentations, a martial art/dance of Angolan origin which was brought to Bahia by the former slaves and taste some of the tastiest Brazilian street food.


Day 2 - Salvador

Today discover the historic side of Salvador. You will visit Barra district, an important historical landmark from early colonial times. Afterwards visit Pelourinho, a Unesco Heritage site and the largest complex of colonial architecture in South America.You will also visit the church of São Francisco with its exuberant gold-leafed Baroque interior and the fascinating Afro-Brazilian Museum.


Day 3 - Salvador

Today discover the Lower City and see Salvador from another angle. Visit Tororo Lagoon with the imposing statues of the candomblé orixas. Continue to the quiet waters of the Itapagipe Peninsula where life moves at a slower pace than the bustling Upper City. Stop at the iconic ice cream parlor and try a tropical fruit sorbet. Continue to the Monserrat district with its panoramic views and on to the Mercado Modelo, a thriving local market.


Day 4 - Salvador / Morro de São Paulo

Today board the catamaran boat to Morro de Sao Paulo. The sailing will take 2 hours and a half. Upon arrival, a local guide will welcome and walk you to pousada Vila das Pedras. The guide will take care of your luggage, as it is a car-free island. Check-in and enjoy the rest of the day relaxing at the beach or by the pool.


Day 5&6 - Morro de São Paulo

Spend these days enjoying this paradisiacal island. There are plenty of beaches for every taste and preference to explore and get a tan. One can practice lots of sports such as scuba diving, snorkeling, beach volleyball, surfing, sailing, hiking, horseback riding, kayaking etc. Optional tours to Boipeba island are also available.


Day 7 - Morro de São Paulo / Salvador

The departure is flexible and your guide will meet you at the pousada and walk you to the local pier. Your luggage will be taken care of. You will board the catamaran and return to Salvador. There is also an option to travel by a small plane if requested (good option to have great views of the bays below). You will be picked up at the pier and will be transfer to the airport/or continue your journey further.
