– Santa Teresa: this is one of the city’s oldest parts. You can ask your hotel to book you a taxi, they are quite inexpensive and it is the quickest way to get to Santa Teresa. The area has some beautiful artists’ shops, boutique hotels and all kinds of restaurants. Aprazivel restaurant has great views over the city or if you fancy something very local for lunch, Bar do Mineiro has the best feijoada in town!
– Lapa: in the evenings this area comes alive as it is where locals and tourists go out for samba and caipirinhas.
– Rent a scooter and travel along Copacabana and Ipanema
– Have a cocktail at Fasano Rio Hotel
– Just be lazy on the beach
– In the evenings take a stroll on Copacabana, there are plenty of bars right by the beach.

Day 8 - Fly to Iguaçu

In the morning you will be taken to Manaus airport where you will catch your flight to the Iguaçu Falls. We have chosen a hotel on the Argentina side of the National Park as it offers a wonderful setting in the jungle and here you will spend 3 nights in a standard room with daily breakfast.

You will arrive at Foz do Iguaçu airport in Brazil and a driver will wait for you to take you to your hotel on the Argentine side. Spend the evening at leisure in anticipation of the falls’ guided tours!

Day 9 - Tour of the Argentine Falls - private

Today you will take a guided tour of the Argentine side of Iguaçu Falls. You will have the opportunity to witness the power of water cascading uninterruptedly from very close. There are trails and two circuits around the park, so you can admire the natural phenomenon from different points of view.

One of the most incredible experiences is to go to Devil’s Throat, where it is possible to see the strong waterfall from the top. The tour will last approximately 6 hours and as you will be walking for most of the excursion, we suggest wearing very comfortable, hiking shoes and some waterproof clothing.

Day 10 - Tour of the Brazilian Falls - private

Another day for visual delights! Today it is time to visit the Brazilian side of the falls which offers a more panoramic view of the natural wonder and provides a better idea of how big and majestic they are!

The tour will last around 3 hours after which, you have the rest of the day at leisure.
