Your Itinerary

Day 1 - Welcome to Rio de Janeiro!

Arrive in Rio de Janeiro where your guide and driver will meet you and take you by private car to your hotel. Depending on your flight arrival, you might have some free time before bedtime so enjoy your hotel’s wonderful location near Ipanema beach and its array of boutiques, bars and restaurants.

Day 2 - Full Day Corcovado and Sugarloaf tour with BBQ lunch

Today will be full of everlasting memories as you visit two of the city’s, and arguably the world’s, most iconic sights. You will be taken on a full day guided tour of Corcovado Mountain where you will appreciate the magnificent Christ the Redeemer statue and the view of Rio and Guanabara Bay beneath you.  After a typical Brazilian BBQ lunch (included), you will be able to enjoy another stunning view of the city from Pão de Açúcar (Sugarloaf Mountain). You will take two cable cars to get to the hill’s top, and from here you will have a 360 degrees view of the entire city.

Day 3 - Rio at leisure

Rio offers so many activities but we have kept this day free for you to enjoy as you wish. If you prefer to be kept busy, we can suggest a plethora of tours for you to choose from. Why not dedicate half day to the city’s cultural heritage and take a guided tour to Santa Teresa and one of Rio’s favelas, or if you like football, a visit to the Maracanã stadium is must!

Day 4 - Fly to the Amazon

This morning you will be taken by private transfer to the airport to catch your flight to Manaus. Once landed, you will be met by your Amazon lodge’s guides and drivers and taken into the rainforest where you will spend the next three nights. In the afternoon you will take part in the first excursion before dinner.

Days 5 and 6 - Activities and excursions at your Amazon lodge

Your Amazon lodge offers full board and daily guided excursions. The staff will look after you to make sure you have an unforgettable stay. All you have to do is relax and live a once your life adventure in this unique habitat full of wonders and surprises.

Day 7 - Fly to Iguaçu

In the morning you will be taken to Manaus airport where you will catch your flight to the Iguaçu Falls. Shared between Argentina and Brazil, they are one of the world’s natural wonders and are truly astounding. We have chosen a hotel on the Argentina side of the National Park as it offers a wonderful setting in the jungle. You will arrive at Foz do Iguaçu airport in Brazil and a driver will wait for you to take you to your hotel on the Argentine side. Spend the evening at leisure in anticipation of the falls’ guided tours!

Day 8 - Tour of the Argentine Falls

Today you will take a guided tour of the Argentine side of Iguaçu Falls. You will have the opportunity to witness the power of water cascading uninterruptedly from very close. There are trails and two circuits around the park, so you can admire the natural phenomenon from different points of view. One of the most incredible experiences is to go to Devil’s Throat, where it is possible to see the strong waterfall from the top. The tour will last approximately 6 hours and as you will be walking for most of the excursion, we suggest wearing very comfortable, hiking shoes and some waterproof clothing.

Day 9 - Tour of the Brazilian Falls

Another day for visual delights! Today it is time to visit the Brazilian side of the falls which offers a more panoramic view of the natural wonder and provides a better idea of how big and majestic they are! The tour will last around 3 hours after which, you have the rest of the day at leisure.

Day 10 - Fly to Rio and transfer to Buzios

This morning you will be picked up by your driver and taken to the airport for your last internal flight back to Rio. Once landed you will catch a minibus transfer to the trendy resort of Buzios, around 170 kms away. Journey time greatly depends on the traffic conditions but please be advised this could take around 4 hours or more.

Days 11 to 13 - Buzios at leisure

Buzios has become one of the most famous resorts in Brazil but still manages to retain the charm of a picturesque fishing village. It has more than 20 magnificent beaches with crystal clear waters contrasting with the exuberantly sculpted landscape and exotic vegetation. Trendy Rua das Pedras has plenty of boutiques, bars and restaurants for your entertainment and we have included 4 nights in one of our favourite hotels for you to rest and relax!
