charming artistic neighbourhood of Morro da Conceição and the historic site Pedra do Sal, birthplace of samba. The highlight of the tour is a visit to a samba school studio.
Boat trip to Gigoia island

On this half-day tour, you will head towards the modern coastal district of Barra da Tijuca. This area has a very peculiar ecosystem, formed by several lagoons, mangroves and swampy areas, home to many fish and other animals. You will board a boat passing through narrow channels and several islands, in search of two native species commonly seen in the area: the capybara and the broad-
snouted caiman. You disembark at Gigóia Island and go on a walking adventure!

In this easy hike through the Tijuca Forest, in the main sector of the National Park, history and culture are everywhere. You will see the most important attractions such as the Taunay Waterfall (highest in the park), the Job de Alcântara Bridge, built in 1860, the Mayrink Chapel, and the Visitor Centre. Our team will lead you on a 2.5h hike (ascent and descent), using old trails and paths from former coffee farms, walking beside rivers, experiencing nature and discovering the rainforest, considered one of the largest urban forests in the world until you reach the Cascatinha Summit, 525m.

In this class, your family will have the opportunity to know the basic principles of capoeira and its movements, whilst being taught by a disciple of Mestre Bimba.

The Birds Park is located next to the entrance of Iguaçu National Park and it is usually visited after a tour of the Brazilian side of the falls.
