Meeting a golden lion tamarin family in the wild is an exciting experience! In this tour, you will have the chance to observe the marmosets and their behaviour in the wild together with the researchers of the Golden Lion Tamarin Association.

On this tour, you will get to know the origins of this famous party visiting different places: the Sambódromo and its cultural centre, the revitalised port area where samba has its roots, the
charming artistic neighbourhood of Morro da Conceição and the historic site Pedra do Sal, birthplace of samba. The highlight of the tour is a visit to a samba school studio.

On this half-day tour, you will head towards the modern coastal district of Barra da Tijuca. This area has a very peculiar ecosystem, formed by several lagoons, mangroves and swampy areas, home to many fish and other animals. You will board a boat passing through narrow channels and several islands, in search of two native species commonly seen in the area: the capybara and the broad-
snouted caiman. You disembark at Gigóia Island and go on a walking adventure!

In this easy hike through the Tijuca Forest, in the main sector of the National Park, history and culture are everywhere. You will see the most important attractions such as the Taunay Waterfall (highest in the park), the Job de Alcântara Bridge, built in 1860, the Mayrink Chapel, and the Visitor Centre. Our team will lead you on a 2.5h hike (ascent and descent), using old trails and paths from former coffee farms, walking beside rivers, experiencing nature and discovering the rainforest, considered one of the largest urban forests in the world until you reach the Cascatinha Summit, 525m.

Spend the day visiting Rio de Janeiro’s fantastic four: the Tijuca Forest, Christ the Redeemer, Sugarloaf Mountain and the Botanical Garden. Explore all of these iconic attractions in one remarkable day of sightseeing. The top-off vehicles will ensure a much more immersive journey amidst nature, coastlines, the hustle of the city, and everything in between. Half way through we will stop for lunch in a traditional churrascaria (Brazilian barbecue place), to rest for a bit and refuel for the remaining of the adventure.

Capoeira is a combination of martial arts, sport and popular culture developed in Brazil by African slaves and Brazilian natives. In Brazil, Capoeira style was developed by Mestre Bimba, founder of the first Academy of Brazilian Capoeira. In this class, your family will have the opportunity to know the basic principles of capoeira and its movements, whilst being taught by a disciple of Mestre Bimba.

The Birds Park is located next to the entrance of Iguaçu National Park and it is usually visited after a tour of the Brazilian side of the falls. It is one of the most known attractions of the region, as it is the home of birds from all over the world. Set in beautiful surroundings, you will have direct contact with more than 150 species of birds in 16.5 hectares of spectacular Atlantic Forest.
