Liveaboard Safari Boat Diving into the wild wonders of Socorro, a remote Pacific archipelago just 235 nautical miles from Cabo. Known for thrilling encounters with super-friendly giant manta rays, playful dolphins, and up to 12 species of sharks—including schooling hammerheads and silver tips—this UNESCO World Heritage Site offers raw, unforgettable underwater adventures. Nowhere else in the world do giant oceanic mantas (Mobula birostris) so actively seek interaction with divers and snorkelers. It’s nothing short of magical. Spring and early summer are peak season, when the ocean teems with life: bait balls, pilot whales, massive schools of jacks, and pelagic visitors like giant tuna. If you’re open-hearted, the mantas just might look you in the eye and come closer. And that alone is reason enough to dive Socorro.

Mantas, sharks and dolphins are resident year round
