First you will stay at Nima Local House where you can enjoy spa treatments and walk the beautiful leafy boulevards of Mexico City. Mexico City is synonymous simply with the artist Frida Kahlo and her husband the muralist Diego Rivera, you’ll visit the house they share, Casa Azul. You’ll also visit the archeological ruins of Teotihuacán. We’ll than transport you to Hacienda de San Antonio in Colima which is so luxurious it is frequently voted one of the best hotels in Mexico. Here you can discover a historic 19th century Hacienda located at the foothills of Colima’s Volcande Fuego in Mexico’s highlands. Spend your days visiting our 5000 acre working ranch and coffee plantation, and feast on the organic vegetables, meat and dairy products produced here. Explore the pristine countryside on foot, horse back or even hot air balloon to get a look into authentic Mexican culture, or simply relax poolside. You can spend as long as you’d like here and enjoy as many activities as you desire.

Your Itinerary

Day 1 - Welcome to Mexico City

You will be collected from the airport and transferred to your boutique hotel in one of Mexico Cities most cosmopolitan and luxurious areas.

Hotel recommendation: Nima Local House, La Roma.

Day 2 - Mexico City

A Mexico City Tour will help you acclimatise. Some sites to visit are the National Palace, Zocalo Square, Metropolitan Cathedral, the Anthropology Museum (which presents the country’s many pre-Hispanic civilisations: Toltecs – Zapotecs) and the world famous Guadalupe Shrine.

DAY 3 - Frida’s Blue House

Today you can visit Frida’s Blue House and museum. We suggest doing this in the morning to beat the queues! This is a beautiful area to walk around and explore, perhaps grabbing lunch in the square.

Later you can visit the Xochimilco canals, “the Venice of Mexico,” on one of it’s its colorful trajineras (tourist boats), eating Mexican food and being serenaded by mariachi bands.

Day 3 - Teotihuacan

Today we will depart to the Archeological site of Teotihuacan where you can enjoy a spectacular view of the area from the top of the pyramids (or a hot air balloon if that takes your fancy!); later discover the world famous Guadalupe Shrine. In the afternoon enjoy free time and then eat at another stunning restaurant.

Day 4 - Mexico City Art Tour

Various Travel publications have now named Mexico’s capital a dream destination to visit and a major draw being its thriving art scene. We suggest a day of visiting the many galleries and independent spaces are popping up all over the city with a hip, new generation of art collectors.

Day 5 - Hacienda de San Antonio, Colima

Today you will be transferred to Hacienda de San Antonio, Colima.

Day 6 - Hacienda de San Antonio, Colima

Tour of the 5000 acre working ranch and coffee plantation, and feast on the organic vegetables, meat and dairy products produced here

 

 

Day 7 - Hacienda de San Antonio, Colima

Today you will explore the pristine countryside on foot, horse back.

Day 8 - Hacienda de San Antonio, Colima

Take a hot air balloon ride to get a look into authentic Mexican culture, or simply relax poolside.

Day 9 - Home

Day you will return home bronzed and full of stories.
