A Fleewinter update – what’s new?

By Theodora Taylor Franks on 1st September, 2023

Every so often we like to round up what’s new in our destinations.

What’s new in South East Asia?

Some exciting news from our South East Asia destinations –

  • Vietnam has extended the free visa waiver from 15 days to 45, so very few will need a visa to go on holiday. Less bureaucracy & more spare change for Banh Mi!
  • There’s a new airport opening in Siam Reap, Cambodia, which replaces the previous one. We hope to see an increase in the number of flights in the not too distant future…
  • South East Asia is a long way to travel, so make the most of the flight with a two-destination holiday. We’ve got an exciting new itinerary for you – a luxurious twin-centre trip taking in the highlights of Singapore & Cambodia.

What’s new in Europe?

Ash spent two months exploring more of CroatiaHere’s a round-up of some of our latest developments from Croatia’s Dalmatian Coast, from new experiences, properties, and even the unveiling of an ancient Greek in Hvar! (There’s still time to find out why we love Croatia too as September and October are perfect for exploring.)

For a limited time, you can book a high season week on one of our mega-luxurious Greek sailing holidays, but at mid-season prices – saving 25% per person. The offer runs until the 31st October 2023 and is subject to availability, so get in touch quick if you’d like to nab a spot!

We’re now working with the exclusive Yazz Collective in Fethiye, Turkey.  Yazz Collective can only be accessed by boat, this secluded oasis is ideal for those wanting to completely escape and enjoy the finer things in life; from yoga classes to cocktail making sessions, fine-dining on the waterfront and opulent, eco-friendly suites, we thing this is the perfect place to chill out after exploring some more bustling regions of beautiful Turkey.

In Slovenia we’ve created a new itinerary exploring the pristine Alpine Mountains.  Think awe-inspiring vistas, emerald valleys, quaint mountain villages and charming towns. Dive into the Soča Valley for exhilarating adventures and crystal-clear rivers. Immerse yourself in the wonders of Slovenia’s famous Alpine areas—Bled and Bohinj.  All which promise to create enduring memories.

What’s new in the Indian Ocean?

This beautiful part of the world continues to be strong year-round, with a few exciting developments.

In Sri Lanka, one of our favourite hotels has reopened after several challenging years and a nasty fire. We’re delighted that the stunning Rosyth Estate House has opened its doors to guests again.

We can now offer bookings on a private jet charter, flying direct London to the Maldives on prearranged dates, including the optimum festive date of 27 December. Similar in price to business/1st class tickets at festive periods, but far more luxurious, you can secure seats on this charter and stay at any resort you choose – and of course our specialist Carly will help you with recommendations and availability

Top Travel Tip

“Don’t go sailing with expectations, the wind is rarely playing the same game you are.  Sailing is the art of taking ages often going in entirely the wrong direction and still being pleased about it.  Just take each moment as it arrives and if it’s all feeling a bit slow, switch the engine on and make a cuppa.  Same can be said for life, really.”
