Is Vietnam good to travel with children?

By Carly Watling on 15th April, 2024

In a word…? YES!

Vietnam is a joy to explore with children. Expect friendly people and glorious variety. You’ll find vibrant cities and lush rolling countryside, wide sandy beaches and epic caves.

There are a few thing to think about in the planning stages, as Vietnam is a large (in particular –  LONG) country so planes and trains do need to be factored in if you are looking to explore north to south.

If you’re travelling with young children, consider our Toddlers Tour of Vietnam as a great starting point –  it keeps travel to a minimum without compromising on authentic experiences and adventure. From the streetfood in Hanoi, to the serene caves and countryside around Ninh Binh and the charming UNESCO heritage town of Hoi An and its nearby beaches…. it’s a well balanced tour to give a great taste of Vietnam.

For older children and teenagers, try our Family Holiday of Vietnam which is a more thorough tour and includes more cultural and historical experiences sure to create lasting memories. Cruise in Halong Bay, cycle the Mekong Delta and snorkel off the tropical island of Phu Quoc too.

But as always with Fleewinter – these are just examples. We know that every family is unique, and so each holiday needs to be unique as well.

Whether you’re looking to travel on a budget or stay in luxury all the way, we will tailor the trip to match your family preferences. And no need to be swayed by the clever marketing of the larger ‘family friendly’ chain hotels – we can help you choose boutique, charming hotels with local touches that still have great facilities and well designed family rooms.
