This 10-day Kruger & Mozambique itinerary combines your traditional safari and beach holidays to offer you the best of both worlds!

Your Kruger & Mozambique holiday will start with a direct flight from Johannesburg to the Private Sabi Sands Game Reserve, located adjacent to the Kruger National Park. Here you will spend 3 nights at the luxury Savanna Lodge, where in addition to exploring the wilderness of the Kruger, you will be treated to three delicious meals a day, as well as local drinks and snacks. Your stay in the Sabi Sands is guaranteed to be an exciting one, with loads of game-viewing opportunities. During your stay, you’ll set off on a number of morning and afternoon game drives, accompanied by expert trackers and guides to ensure that you don’t miss any exciting game. You should also venture out on a morning bush walk or two, which will give you the chance to see to see some of the smaller and lesser known wonders that nature has to offer.

Following your stay in the Sabi Sands, you’ll set off on the next leg of your Kruger & Mozambique holiday, which brings you to the tranquil Bazaruto archipelago in Mozambique. You’ll spend 5 nights at Anantara Bazaruto Resort, where you can spend your time soaking up the sun whilst looking out over the tropic waters and taking in the beautiful scenery. Of course, there are also a variety of water activities to be enjoyed, like snorkelling and diving, amongst others, should you be looking for things to keep you busy!

The Kruger & Mozambique 9-day itinerary offers couples, families and friends travelling together the best of both beach and safari. The tranquillity of the Sabi Sands and the peaceful atmosphere on the Bazaruto Archipelago also makes this an ideal holiday for honeymooners looking for a romantic getaway and couples looking to escape the hustle and bustle of city life.

Your Itinerary

Day 1-3 - Kruger - Sabi Sand Private Game Reserve

Take a direct flight from Johannesburg to the Sabi Sands Game Reserve – where you are met by a game viewer vehicle – and the adventure begins!  The next 3 nights will be at Savanna Game Lodge – a special and elegant luxury lodge, including all your meals, local drinks plus all game drives and morning bush walks.  Experienced rangers will take you on morning and afternoon game drives accompanied by skilled Shangaan trackers who add so much value to your safari experience.  Late morning bush walks bring you closer to nature and her secrets.

Day 4 - Johannesburg

Enjoy the last morning game drive before setting off to the airport for your flight to Johannesburg. Here you will have one overnight to connect with your flight to Mozambique

Day 5-9 - Mozambique

After breakfast you will take the airport shuttle back to the airport for your flight to Mozambique.

Upon arrival at Maputo airport you will take a road and boat transfer to Machangulo Beach Lodge, where the next 5 nights will be spent at this beautiful secluded peninsula.  Laze the days away on the beach, enjoy snorkelling and diving in tropical waters, beach volley ball, dune boarding and deep sea fishing to mention the most popular.  Your stay includes all meals, house drinks, selected non-motorised activities done from the lodge’s beach, like kayaking, stand-up paddle boarding and snorkelling. Over and above, your stay also includes one Inhaca Marine Reserve Snorkel Picnic, one Santa Maria Village Tour and one Dhow Cruise per person, per stay.

Day 10 - Return to Johannesburg

Today the ‘fun in the sun’ ends and after breakfast you will take the boat and road transfer back to Maputo airport, arriving in time to meet your connecting flight directly to Johannesburg, arriving in the afternoon with ample time to meet your evening flight back to London.
