Exploring South Africa Tours

Durban Safaris & Beaches

The Natal coastline offers amazing stretches of beaches, from the popular and busy areas of Umhlanga which is a popular holiday area, the coast stretches north through to Mozambique offering a warm Indian Ocean with white sandy beaches.  From the St Lucia area all the way through to Kosi Bay you are spoilt with kilometers of beach and in some areas, even in the busy season, these beaches are quiet.  The area also offers some of South Africa’s best snorkelling and deep sea diving.

Nearby is the big five game area of Hluhluwe which is made up of many game reserves offering excellent safari experiences.  The Umfolozi-Hluhluwe Game Reserve is well worth a visit and like Kruger you can self-drive in the park or join up with a guided game drive in an open vehicle.  You can also experience close up elephant encounters along with visiting some great wildlife sanctuaries if you have less time.  St Lucia offers a great ‘hippo/croc’ boat excursion on the estuary, an ideal way to end the day with a sundowner cruise.
