A family holiday is all about spending time together and exploring the destination.

St. Kitts offers children a ‘living history lesson’.  As the first British colony in the West Indies – Mother Colony of the West Indies – the island’s unique attractions and well-known landmarks tell the story of the connection between Great Britain and St. Kitts.  Children will enjoy the views and museum at the Brimstone Hill Fortress National Park, where a family picnic would be a nice treat.  All kids willl be fascinated with riding aboard the Caribbean’s only Scenic Railway ‘Sugar Train’ as it crosses gullies and slows to the crossing of wandering cows.

Beach and water activities are an instant attraction for children – from swimming and snorkelling to sailing and boat tours in the warm blue waters.  Strolls through the rainforest to spy on the green vervet monkeys at play will appeal to children of all ages.

For the active older ones, the mountain bike tour, horseback riding in the rainforest and the Sky Safaris zip-line thriller – they soar 250 ft over the lush rainforest – are always a hit .  Kids may have the chance to enjoy a bit of cricket , a favourite Caribbean past-time, at the Keeth Arthurton Cricket Academy in Warner Park Stadium where the former cricketer coaches local budding talent on Saturdays.

For golf, kids 15 years old and under play free at the Royal St. Kitts Golf Club when playing with a full paying adult. In addition, the golf club runs kids offers during July and August.
