Flights: Air access to St. Kitts is quite easy.  The twice-weekly British Airways flight from London Gatwick requires no change of planes, which makes for a smooth and hassle-free journey.

Driving Hiring a car brings more flexibility and spontaneity and allows you to go at their own pace, taking in incredible views and stopping at little known places which peak their interest.  Driving is on the left hand side, as in the UK – and all signage is in English.  Agencies such as Hertz and Dollar operate in St. Kitts, just requiring the local St. Kitts license to begin your adventure.  The license is just paperwork – they will have to present their UK license and a fee of US$25.00.

Currency: The East Caribbean dollar XCD$.   £1 = XCD$3.26 (Jan 2023). Most banks have ATM machines and credit cards are accepted by hotels, restaurants and larger stores.

Departure tax
 is included in the cost of an air ticket.  No separate payment is required upon departure from St. Kitts & Nevis.
