Exploring Saint Kitts and Nevis

Getting to Saint Kitts

St. Kitts is easily reached from the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, and continental Europe. Dozens of nonstop, connecting, and charter flights depart daily and arrive at Robert Llewellyn Bradshaw International Airport (SKB). SKB also serves flights from several Caribbean destinations, including San Juan, Antigua, St. Martin and Barbados.

By Air
Getting to St. Kitts by air is easier than ever with British Airways, the only UK carrier servicing the island.  British Airways’ 777 flies twice per week – Wednesdays and Saturdays – from London Gatwick.  The flight first touches down in Antigua for an hour, before then flying on for 20 minutes to Basseterre, St. Kitts.  There is no change of plane or disembarking in Antigua.

For travelling by air to St. Kitts via other islands, British Airways and Virgin Atlantic offer direct service into Antigua and Barbados, from which LIAT provides onward connections into St. Kitts.

By Ferry
The Makana Ferry service offers same-day service between St. Kitts and the Dutch Caribbean islands of St. Eustatius (Statia), Saba and St. Maarten (half-Dutch / half-French island).   For travellers keen to have a multi-island trip, this service connects St. Kitts with these neighbouring islands.  For the latest schedule and details on how to book, visit: Makana Ferry Service.

By Yacht
Perched where the Caribbean meets the western Atlantic, St. Kitts is an enchanting destination for seafaring visitors from around the world.  There are two main marinas for arrivals via yachts – Port Zante in Basseterre and Christophe Harbour at the South East Peninsula.  Port Zante with its beautiful anchorages, puts your clients in the middle of Basseterre, St. Kitts’ capital, and walking distance from several iconic island sites including The National Museum, The Circus and Independence Square.

The Marina at Christophe Harbour offers secure alongside moorings 24/7 dockage access, a deepwater harbour with wide turning basin, in-slip fuelling, ample power for super-yachts up to 250 ft., and on-site seamless customs clearance and immigration services.
