The Central Pacific Coast of Costa Rica is only a few hours from San José and is a beautiful part of the country made up of stunning beaches and numerous protected areas of natural beauty. Home to one of Costa Rica’s second most visited conservation areas, Manuel Antonio National Park, there are numerous accommodation options for all budgets here. Whilst there is no doubt some of the beaches here are incredible the draw of visitors does mean it can feel more built up and busier than other parts of the country and therefore not to everyone’s taste. We have however spent time looking for the more personal and boutique options as this location sits fantastically in nearly all itineraries and ideal for a convenient and beautiful beach stop.
Dominical is slightly further north than Manuel Antonio and is far less visited. It is known whale and dolphin watching and humpbacks gather here from December – March and August – October. This can be a day trip or we have a couple of stunning and luxurious properties perfect for those looking for something extra special on their trip to Costa Rica.
