I would like to invite you to a unique market that takes place only on Wednesdays in the charming village of Ida Ogourd, just 20 km southeast of Essaouira. This is a true celebration of local life, where people from surrounding villages come together for their weekly shopping and to catch up with friends.
You’ll have the chance to see the largest “donkey parking” in the region! At the market, you can find local spices (well worth buying there), fresh fruits and vegetables, and a variety of delicious regional treats.
You’ll also see a barber working under a tent. The market buzzes with lively rural energy, offering you an authentic glimpse into Moroccan village life far off the beaten tourist track.
Afterwards, we’ll visit an argan cooperative to learn about the traditional production of Morocco’s famous “liquid gold” — argan oil.
It’s a wonderful experience full of culture, flavor, and local charm.
The package includes:
Transfer with English speaking driver
Flexible pace and stops
Mint tea
Half-day Guided Tour
