Our luxury Brazil holiday will take you to some of the most beautiful places in the country whilst staying in some of the most famous and exclusive properties that Brazil has to offer. Of course you will start your journey in Rio enveloped in the understated luxury of Emiliano hotel. Although less known than the Belmond Copacabana Palace, we love Emiliano because of its modern and sophisticated style, boutique feel and an enviable location on Copacabana beach and walking distance to Arpoador and Ipanema beach. After three nights in the Cidade Maravillhosa, we will jet you off to Cuiabá where you will spend two nights and visit the little known Chapada dos Guimarães and witness its breath taking natural landscapes. From here, you will fly to Alta Floresta, followed by a transfer to renowned Cristalino Lodge. The property sits on a private Amazonian reserve and has been hailed as one of the world’s best eco-lodges. You will spend three nights in the middle of the jungle enjoying the lodge’s facilities and excursions to discover the beauty of this pristine slice of the southern Amazon. You will then fly back to Cuiabá for one night to connect with a flight to your next dreamy destination, Trancoso. A hidden gem in the state of Bahia, it is becoming a favourite for jetsetters who want to escape from it all whilst still have access to few fashionable venues. We have chosen a wonderful boutique luxury hotel for you to spend the last few days in total relax in truly magical surroundings!

Your Itinerary

Day 1 - Welcome to Rio de Janeiro

Arrive in Rio de Janeiro where your guide and driver will meet you and take you by private car to your hotel. Depending on your flight arrival, you might have some free time before bedtime so we suggest to relax on Copacabana beach and maybe savour the local drink, caipirinha, whist watching the world go by.

Day 2 - Private tour to Corcovado and Sugarloaf

One of the Seven Wonders of the World, the magnificent Christ the Redeemer, the iconic statue on top of Corcovado Hill, is Rio’s most famous landmark. The Corcovado Hill is part of the Tijuca Forest, the largest urban forest in the world. This morning you will be picked up by your private guide and taken on a tour to this wonderful site. Once on the top of Corcovado Hill, you will be able to admire breath taking views of Copacabana, Ipanema, Leblon, Rodrigo de Freitas Lagoon and the Botanical Gardens. On this tour you will also visit the famous Pão de Açúcar (Sugarloaf Mountain), an iconic symbol of the city. Its name was given due to the resemblance to the traditional shape of a refined sugar loaf. You will take two glass cable cars to reach the top and from here you will have amazing 360 degree views of the whole city. To finish the day with the most spectacular views of the city, why not add a helicopter flight over the magnificent bay?

Day 3 - Rio at leisure

Rio offers so many activities but we have kept this day free for you to enjoy as you wish. If you prefer to be kept busy, we can suggest a plethora of tours for you to choose from. Why not dedicate half day to the city’s cultural heritage and take a guided tour to Santa Teresa and one of Rio’s favelas or for an unforgettable experience, a private sailing tour in Guanabara Bay?

Day 4 - Fly to Cuiabá

This morning you will be taken by private transfer to the airport to catch your flight to Cuiabá. Once landed, you will be met by your guide and taken by private car to your hotel.

Day 5 - Private tour of Chapada dos Guimarães

The impressive National Park is situated 69 km from Cuiabá and is characterised by big red cliffs, crystal clear waterfalls, creeks and exotic wildlife. A visit here is a must if you love nature at its most dramatic. You will take a privately guided visit to make the most of this experience. You will also have the opportunity to visit Veo da Noiva waterfall with its impressive 86 metre drop. The tour will be around 5 hours long after which you will be taken back to your hotel.

Day 6 - Fly to Alta Floresta and transfer to Cristalino Lodge

In the morning, you will depart your hotel by private car towards Cuiabá airport for your flight to Alta Floresta. Once landed, you will be driven to Cristalino lodge where you will spend the next 3 nights on a full board and excursions basis. Located up north Mato Grosso state, the city of Alta Floresta delimits the end of the Pantanal region and the beginning of the Amazon Forest. The encounter of the tropical forest with the Cerrado vegetation and a remnant of the Pantanal bring together a rich collection of fauna and flora, besides an abundance of species and a lush vegetation of many bromeliads and orchids gracing the scenery.

Days 7 and 8 - Tours and activities at Cristalino Lodge

Enjoy two full days at Cristalino lodge, voted one of the world’s 50 best eco-lodges by National Geographic. A unique Amazon sanctuary committed to the preservation of flora and fauna and where you can enjoy a unique wildlife experience. Here you will be able to take several nature walks guided by the lodge’s experienced guides and to spot wildlife from the observation towers. All your meals will be cooked to perfection using the freshest ingredients and you will be able to indulge yourself in the cosy surroundings of your accommodation and the lodge’s communal spaces.

Day 9 - Fly back to Cuiabá

Alta Floresta is only connected by flight to Cuiabá so today you will fly back to the city where you will spend a night before jetting off to the beautiful beaches of Bahia on the following day.
