Your Itinerary

Day 1 - Bemvindos a Rio!

Welcome to the Cidade Maravilhosa!

You will land and an English speaking guide will be waiting for you at the airport’s arrival to drive you in a private vehicle to your hotel, Arena Ipanema in two standard rooms with daily breakfast.

In the afternoon, enjoy a family sunset bike tour shared with a group.

Day 2 - Private tour of Corcovado and Sugarloaf

Enjoy a private tour of these two iconic landmarks in Rio de Janeiro. You driver/guide will pick you up in the morning and the tour will last all day.

Corcovado
Everything begins on board of a centenarian eco-friendly electric tram. It travels uphill through a well-preserved stretch of the Atlantic Forest, part of Tijuca’s National Park, ending at the most iconic attraction of Rio de Janeiro: the Christ the Redeemer statue. At the feet of one of the Seven New Wonders of the Modern World, you will be amazed by some of the most stunning views of the city.

Sugarloaf Hill
The ride on the Sugarloaf hill cable car reveals a 360º scenery of breathtaking views that include Leme, Copacabana, and Flamengo beaches, the Pedra da Gávea, Maciço da Tijuca and Corcovado mountains, the Guanabara Bay, the downtown area, the Rio-Niterói bridge, and the Serra do Mar mountain range backdrop, with the famous Dedo de Deus (“God’s Finger”) peak.

Day 3 - Cooking together

Can food explain a culture? Cook in Rio offers hands on Brazilian cooking classes in English to foreign visitors wanting to learn about Brazil, and some of the most fun and delicious Brazilian meals and drinks, like cassava sticks, fish moqueca or pork feijoada, coconut cocktail, caipirinhas and pé de moleque (peanut brittle).

Discover exotic ingredients, techniques and flavors to impress your guests in your dinner parties. Chef Simone Almeida awaits you for messy and delicious fun!

Day 4 - Rio de Janeiro to Iguaçu

In the morning a private car will drive you to Rio de Janeiro airport for your flight to Foz do Iguacu (IGU). You will have a private transfer from IGU Airport to the town and a tour of the Brazilian Falls.

Get ready for THE most stunning panoramic views of the greatest water spectacle in the world. The 275 falls of the Iguassu River spread out into a 2,700 meter-semicircle – approximately 800 meters in the Brazilian side, and 1,900 meters in the Argentinean side – right in front of you very eyes! Upon arriving at the park, there will be a short bus ride to the beginning of the trail, during which you can start to admire the beauty of the largest remaining stretch of Atlantic Forest in Southern Brazil.

Accommodation: Wish Foz do Iguacu in two superior rooms with daily breakfast for 2 nights.

Day 5 - Argentina side of the falls and gran Aventura boat tour

Another day to experience these amazing falls! This time, in Argentina! With a private driver/guide.

Such is the greatness of the Iguazu Falls that they spread across natural parks of two different nations! On the Argentine national park, you will board an ecological train that take you on a beautiful ride to the beginning of three different circuits.

“La Gran Aventura” combines the very essence of Iguazu National Park in a single adventure: the jungle and the waterfalls. First, you hop on special trucks and take the Yacaratiá trail into the jungle, heading for the docks to board a powerboat that will take you super close to the falls in a thrilling ride!

Day 6 - Fly to Salvador

Today a private car will drive you to Iguassu airport for your flight to Salvador via Sao Paulo.

Once arrived a private car will drive you to your hotel in the Pelourinho, the historic part of the city.

Accommodation: Casa do Amarelindo in 2 standard rooms with daily breakfast for 2 nights.

Day 7 - History tour of Salvador

This historic private tour of Brazil’s first capital features some of the most famous landmarks in the country.

We start at the Barra’s Lighthouse, where you will have a few minutes to admire and take pictures of this impressive construction by a beautiful beach. We will then drive by the Corredor da Vitória and Campo Grande, part of the carnival circuit where the city’s famous “trios elétricos” – trucks equipped with high-power sound systems and a stage on top – drive along.

Once we arrive at the Historic Center, a walk around the narrow streets, slopes and numerous old houses, will make us travel back in time. Squares, churches, museums and art galleries give a special charm to the Pelourinho, Salvador’s most iconic neighborhood.

Day 8 - Private transfer to Praia do Forte

Today a private car will drive you to Praia do Forte. Transfer is only 79 km and about 1 hr 20 mins.

Accommodation: Pousada Casa de Praia in one double and one twin standard room with daily breakfast for 3 nights.

Day 9 and 10 - Free days

Enjoy a free day.

In Praia do Forte you can snorkel, take boat tours and July is also the season for whale watching.

Day 11 - Flight to Trancoco

Today a private car will drive you to Salvador airport for your flight to Porto Seguro.

Once arrived a private car will drive you to your hotel,  journey will be around 1 hr 30 mins.

Accommodation: Pousada do Bosque in a quadruple superior room with daily breakfast for 3 nights.

Day 12 and 13 - Free days in paradise

Enjoy your time at leisure.

We suggest visiting Praia do Espelho, one of Brazil’s most beautiful beaches. Ask us how to organise this!

Day 14 - Departure

Today a private car will drive you to Porto Seguro airport for your flight to Sao Paulo and the connection back home.

Please note: All included tours are on a shared basis with English speaking guides apart from Paraty where the tour is private. The 4 wonders jeep tour in Rio needs customers to be able to climb on a jeep. If you are uncomfortable with this, we can offer a more traditional tour but this might be at a supplement.

International flights tend to cost between £800 and £900 per person return if booked well in advance – do ask us for advice. Alternatively we can book the flights for you but a booking fee may apply.

Rio de Janeiro
