It is a full day trip, full of experience!

Your experience begins in the beautiful Haha region, located just 35 km south of Essaouira. You’ll start with a visit to a local souk, a vibrant marketplace where you’ll see freshly harvested fruits and vegetables alongside meat, eggs, and honey – all the essentials of daily life and the key ingredients for our Berber cooking class.

The class itself is held at an eco-friendly farm, centered around an authentic Berber kitchen equipped with traditional tools for food preparation. Two warm and welcoming locals will guide you. You’ll witness how barley grains are roasted over an open fire and then ground in a stone mill, producing the very flour and semolina used in traditional flatbread and couscous.

You’ll also learn to prepare a classic tagine of vegetables and goat meat, perfectly seasoned with Moroccan spices and olive oil pressed right from the farm’s own olive trees. Enjoying this delicious meal outdoors, surrounded by calm and natural beauty, is a truly memorable part of the experience.

After lunch, you’ll relax with tea, freshly infused with herbs from the garden.

On the return trip, you’ll have the option to visit an Argan oil cooperative to learn more about the production process. And with a bit of luck, you might even spot the famous goats perched in the argan trees!

The package includes:

Transfer with English speaking driver
Tea and lunch
* The rural market visits only take place on Thursdays and Wednesdays.
On other weekdays we do the shopping in the souk of the medina.
