The Route of Emotions in Brazil is one of the country’s highlights.  You will go through three North Eastern states, Ceará, Piauí and Maranhão, in an unforgettable little known route, so be sure that you will escape the tourist crowds!

You will experience the wild side of one of the most incredible landscapes in the Northeast of Brazil, beginning in the colonial city of São Luis and ending in sunny Fortaleza visiting different ecosystems. Our personal highlight is the Lencois Maranhenses National Park, an out of this world landscape of white sand dunes and turquoise water lagoons. The best time to visit here is June/July after the rainy season so that the lagoons are at their fullest.

We have recently experienced this trip and we cannot recommend it enough if you are going back to Brazil or you want to discover something really unique for your first visit to this country. Give our consultants a ring on 0207 112 0019 or email us to start planning!

DETAILS -

The Route of Emotions is an unforgettable trip in a lesser known part of Brazil. This trip is private with the addition of an English speaking guide throughout. Please note that English is not widely spoken in this part of the country, and the logistics mean that some of the days will be long.

At the end you may wish to swap Camocim with Jericoacoara, which is a bigger town with plenty of boutiques, bars and restaurants. We personally loved Camocim, as much more laid back, and Baia das Caraubas is a perfect boutique hotel on a stunning beach but it is outside the town, so it is perfect if you want to seek complete relaxation. The best would be to include them both!

You can combine it with other destinations in Brazil or it can be a great holiday to Brazil on its own. You will need to fly into Sao Luis and out of Fortaleza.
