In the native Guaraní language, “Uruguay” means “River of the painted birds”; it is said that when the natives arrived to these coasts they were marveled with all the colorful birds that could be seen along the rivers and lagoons and so they named the region after them. This tour will introduce you to the Protected areas and natural reserves of this region and the local authentic highlights that are only available to those who are interested in getting to know the local traditions.
