We can include private transportation in executive cars with the addition of an English speaking guide, or self-driving can be a wonderful option if you want a bit more independence and flexibility. There is also a good network of buses if budget doesn’t allow for private transfers, or you can choose to mix and match the two options. For example, you can take the bus from Colonia to Montevideo, and then private transfers or rental car from the capital to your other destinations.
