On a recent visit to the Kruger region I had the privilege of visiting the Mafambisa programme in a remote & forgotten area outside the Kruger Park. It was humbling to see how the care givers, who have less than nothing themselves, willingly offer them time, support and care to a small community of around 75 of the most vulnerable children. Most of them are child headed homes or homes where the parents have become slave of alcohol. These ladies offer them a hot meal and guidance and support that is so critical for them to develop into well rounded adults. The grass roots level of this projects helps to empower the ladies and guide them in the basics of applying for ID documents, budgeting and assisting in gaining the much needed help to care for these children. I am very proud that we are supporting such a good cause and knowing that the money we (and you our clients) raise for this goes directly to the benefit of this community.
