Exploring Arabian Holidays

How to spend your time

Sun and Beach

The calm waters of two gulfs wash the shores of all the 7 emirates and Oman has the privilege of having its coastline shaped by the beloved Indian Ocean. It’s turquoise water all the way. From the delicate city beaches in Dubai, like Jumeirah, Jebel Ali, the Palm and Mamzar to the wild untouched beaches of Oman – the choice is yours! From gorgeous 5* beachfront hotels to camping – one can find a personal perfect beach for families, couples and adventure seekers.

The Desert

Choose a stargazing holiday – one where you see the sky so close like you can almost touch it. A couple of nights spent in the desert is an incomparable experience you will remember for long. Being it a luxury escape at Al Maha Resort or an adventurous trip to the Wahiba Sands – the red Arabian Desert is enchanting! The magical energy of the dunes has shaped the Arabian soul – making it soft and wild at the same time. It is a great place to switch off and recollect one’s thoughts for a few days.

Culture

Although Dubai is more known as a futuristic super-modern icon city, you can still find its traditional soul around the Creek. We will also show you other traditional parts of UAE, which are worth discovering, like Sharjah, Abu Dhabi, Ajman, Fujairah, Ras al-Khaimah and Umm al-Qaiwain. In Oman you will find a fascinating cultural heritage everywhere, a mix of the Arabic and African, captivating, attractive and very interesting. This country might become a highlight of every wanderer’s collection. From the festivals of Salalah and the frankincense trails to the picturesque mountains of Jebel Akhdar – you will hear music and stories; you will see fascinating art, dance and crafts. Traditional villages where they still conduct a simple life are hidden away and it is here where you will recollect peace, relaxation and harmony.

Adventure

Tucked away in the corner of the peninsula, Oman is full of surprises. The fjords of Musandam, the green mountain lakes of Wadi Shab and Wadi Tiwi will forever remain in your heart after visiting them. Oman is all about wild unique nature. Although the region is quite arid, in Oman you will also find mountains covered in green vegetation. Hiking, caving, paragliding, sky diving, off-roading, bike-riding, surfing, kite-surfing, fishing, sailing, flying with a gyrocopter – you name it, you can practice everything listed in UAE and Oman. Take a dhow cruise or follow picturesque trails, swim in the fresh clear waters of the wadis or practice climbing – there is more to the region than just beaches and the desert.

Diving

You probably didn’t expect this, but Oman is a great diving destination. And this is all due to the incredible Indian Ocean 🙂 There are great dive sites like Daymaniyat Islands, Bander Khayran, Fahal Island. These sights are in a close proximity to Muscat, which makes it really easy to access them. In the north, around Musandam and further south around Salalah there are other great diving sites, like Lima Rock and Sannat, shipwrecks and underwater caves.  The winter months (October to February) are an ideal time to dive due to the improved visibility and more varied marine life. It is also a great escape from the daytime heat, but the water temperatures can reach up to 28C as well.
