This 8 day tour will show you the highlights of the United Arab Emirates and the charming peninsula of Musandam (Oman). It is suitable for people who like to be guided and want to be part of a group. The visits are scheduled throughout the day, but there will be plenty of free time to enjoy the places as well.
Your Itinerary
Day 1 - Welcome to the UAE
Upon arrival at the airport, you will be met by a representative who will assist you with your luggage. The driver will take you to your hotel. Spend the rest of the day at leisure or take a walk along the Jumeirah beach for a stunning sunset view.
Day 2 - Modern Dubai and Desert Safari
Today start at Burj Khalifa, situated next to the Dubai Mall. At the mall visit the aquarium. Later on driven to Dubai Marina, followed by a trip to Palm Jumeirah with the Atlantis Hotel. Finish at Souk Madinat Jumeirah. In the afternoon take a safari trip deep into the heart of the desert. Watch the setting sun cast its orange glow over the sand dunes. A BBQ dinner, belly dancing, henna painting, camel riding and sandboarding is waiting for you at the camp. Return to Dubai for overnight.
Day 3 - The charm of Old Dubai
Today discover the magnificent view of Dubai Creek, passing by the heritage area of Bastakiya with its fascinating old wind towers built by wealthy merchants. Visit the 180 years old Fort Al Fahidi, where the city’s past is recorded with all its developing stages. Take an abra to cross the Creek towards the Spice Market followed by the Gold Souk. On our way to Burj Al Arab stop for a visit at Jumeirah Mosque, an architectural landmark of Dubai.
Day 4 - Abu Dhabi – capital of the UAE
Abu Dhabi is the capital of the United Arab Emirates. You will be mesmerized by the grandness of the majestic Grand Mosque, which is one of the largest mosques in the world. You will then be driven through the heart of the city where you can see the famous Union Square, which houses symbolic themes inspired by the customs of the country. After a drive along the corniche, you will visit the Heritage Village. You will also have the opportunity to enjoy shopping at Abu Dhabi Marina Mall, home to a large array of luxury boutiques and souvenir stores.
Day 5 - Sharjah – Cultural Capital
Today visit Sharjah, also known as the “Pearl of the Gulf”. Visit the magnificent mosques, the old town with the traditional market Souk Al Arsa and the Islamic Civilization Museum. Several galleries display carefully restored artifacts from around the Muslim world. After visit Sharjah Heritage museum for a glimpse of a traditional family home and typical Arabian Gulf architecture, and Souk Al Markazi, a treasure trove of carpets, jewelry and handicrafts. In the evening enjoy a Dhow Dinner Cruise on the Creek while watching the sunset over the skyline of Dubai.
Day 6 - Al Ain – A true desert oasis
Enjoy a great day out taking in the sights of the beautiful Garden City of Al Ain. Enroute to Al Ain, watch the fascinating and ever changing desert scenery on both sides. On the way to the Hajjar Mountains, visit the camel market. The tour continues with a visit of the renovated Old Palace of H.H Sheikh Zayed. Visit Al Jahili Fort and Al Ain Museum before learning more about the falaj, the irrigation system during a stop at Al Ain Oasis. Before returning, stop at the hot springs at the foot of Jebel Hafeet Mountain.
Day 7 - Musandam (Oman)
Today you will be picked up from Dubai at approx. 6 am. You will be transferred to Khasab in Oman. Cruise on a traditional Omani wooden dhow to Khor Sham in azure waters through a majestic 16km fjord, surrounded by spectacular mountains. While cruising on the fjord one can spot dolphins. The dhow will anchor at two places for swimming and snorkeling in pristine waters teeming with friendly colorful fish. Snorkeling equipment, towels, soft drinks, water, fruits and a generous local lunch is included.
Day 8 - Departure
After checking out from the hotel your driver will pick you up and will transfer you to Dubai International Airport. The departure is flexible, according to your further travel arrangements.
