Your Itinerary

Day 1 - Welcome to the Sultanate of Oman

Today, upon arrival in Muscat, you will be met at the airport and your private chauffeur will drive you to your hotel. The remainder of the day offers free time for you to explore Muscat or unwind at the pool. Muscat is known as the white city of the Arabian peninsula, with its charming Corniche and low-rise buildings.

Day 2 - Highlights of Muscat

Today you will visit the 5th largest mosque in the world, the Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque. Passing by the Corniche, you will be taken to the oldest and largest market in the country, Muttrah Souq. Walk through its narrow alleys where the air is filled with the smell of frankincense and sandalwood. Next stop is the Al Alam Palace to see the National Museum. Later on enjoy the views from a boat, sipping your first Omani kahwa – a great way to wrap up the day!

Day 3 - Coast, Wadis and Turtles

Today you will drive down the coast. Enjoy the views of high rugged cliffs and deep valleys on your way to Wadi Arbayeen, a green oasis tucked away between the mountains, near a village. Take a dip to refresh. Further down, visit Wadi Shab, one of the most beautiful wadis in Oman. Take a hike inside the canyons. Later on, at night, an extraordinary experience awaits you at the Turtle Beach where you will get the opportunity to witness sea turtles coming to the shore and laying eggs in Ras Al Jinz.

Day 4 - Wadi Bani Khalid & Wahiba Sands

This morning you will visit the fishing town of Sur, the home of Omani traditional dhow factory. Later embark on a stunning drive through the Sharqiya region before reaching Wadi Bani Khalid. This wadi features large pools of turquoise and emerald pools, lined with lush green palm tree.  Afterwards, traverse through the elevations of the vast Wahiba Desert. Stay at an authentic desert camp with local cuisine and entertainment.

Day 5 - Off to the fantastic mountain world

Get in your 4×4 and drive towards the Hajar Mountains. From afar, you will see the watchtowers situated on a hills that is surrounded by the village of Mudayrib. The Al Kanajirah Fort which is located on the hill east of the souk is a must-see. Here you will find many traditional houses with impressive wooden doors from Zanzibar. Continue your trip to Nizwa, the cultural capital with a beautiful souq and an impressive fort. On the way stop at Birkat Al Mauz, a magical deserted village.

Day 6 - Forts and the Grand Canyon

Start the day with visiting Oman’s most beautiful castle, Jabreen, and Bahla Fort, the oldest and the biggest fort in the country. Both are on your way to Al Hamra, a restored village showing the traditional was of life in Oman. To the west of Al Hamra lies the road up to Jebel Shams, the highest mountain of the Arabic world (3075 m). The drive to the peak is adventurous, you pass by the old village of Ghul and the abyss of the Omani Grand Canyon. Enjoy the breathtaking views.

Day 7 - Wadi Bani Awf to Muscat

After a nice breakfast in the mountains, your journey continues to Al Barkha, where you will visit the fish and vegetable market. From here, drive to one of the most fascinating forts of Oman, the Nakhl Fort. Further on, pass by Nakhl Village to arrive at Thowarah Hot Springs. Enjoy the thermal waters full of minerals and see the Falaj  – a cleverly-made old irrigation system, before heading back towards Muscat.
