Your Itinerary
Days 1-2 - Tarangire
Arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport where a local representative will meet you and assist with your road transfer in a private 4×4 Land Cruiser to the Tarangire region. You spend the next 2 nights at Tarangire Safari Lodge, one of the oldest lodges in the Tarangire National Park. The lodge is situated in a busy area of the park, making for some great wildlife viewing from your veranda! Go on a full-day game drive in the area and look out for the large elephant herds, as well as zebra, wildebeest, Cape buffalo, lion, leopard, cheetah and the elusive African wild dog. Your stay here is on a full-board basis.
2 nights at Tarangire Safari Lodge
Days 3-4 - Karatu
Today the road takes you to Kitela lodge in the Karatu region, where you will stay on a full-board basis for the next 2 nights. Arrive in time for lunch, followed by an afternoon coffee walk through the working coffee farm. The following day you will head off to the magnificent Ngorongoro Crater, where you will discover a myriad of plant and animal life, from black rhino to East African lions amongst many others. After a morning of game viewing, settle down for a decadent picnic lunch whilst taking in the views before heading back to the campsite.
2 nights at Kitela Lodge
Days 5-7 - Serengeti
The next 3 nights will be spent at Kati Kati Camp, located in the heart of the Serengeti, on a full-board basis. Following a drive through the Olduvai Gorge where you will stop for a picnic lunch, arrive in time to settle in before sundowners around the campfire and planning the next day’s activities. Explore the Serengeti National Park on a private game viewing basis and book a morning balloon safari over the Serengeti, followed by a picnic breakfast. You can also book a cultural trip to the local Masai village.
3 nights at Kati Kati Camp
Days 8-11 - Zanzibar
The start of your Zanzibar experience will see you being transferred to the Seronera airstrip, before catching a coastal light aircraft flight to Zanzibar. You will be met by a local representative who will assist with your transfer to Pongwe Beach Hotel, where you spend the final 4 nights of your trip. Spend your mornings enjoying the many activities and excursions on offer, such as snorkelling on Pongwe Reef, taking a trip to the interesting Stone Town and going on a spice tour or visiting the Jozani Rain Forest. Alternatively you can spend your time relaxing on the beautiful beaches or at the large and inviting hotel pool whilst sipping on a drink and soaking up the sun.
4 nights at Pongwe Beach Hotel
Day 12 - Return home
Today marks the end of your Crater, Serengeti & Beach holiday. Enjoy a last breakfast before you check out of the hotel by 10:00 am and spend the rest of the morning exploring the white sandy beaches. That afternoon you will be collected from the hotel and transferred to Zanzibar Airport before catching your international flight back home.
