Lake Titicaca

The city of Puno on the shores of Lake Titicaca is where many travellers head to explore the world’s highest lake. However we strongly recommend taking your journey a little further and staying in an isolated property on or around the lake where you will be rewarded with stunning sunsets, more unique properties and a chance to avoid the crowds. Whilst we have found a couple of mid-range hotels that we love, Lake Titicaca is also home to some lovely authentic homestay experiences and at the other end of the scale – some fabulous luxury boutique hotels which we think are well worth the splurge.
