"We particularly enjoyed this charming hotel" - Paula S, Oct 2019

Isla Suasi is the ultimate place to head for completely relaxing. The food is first class (especially the BBQ), llamas roam around the property and the pretty garden with lake views is the ideal place to read a book. The hotel offers a true feeling of a countryside cottage from simpler times, and this slight feeling of nostalgia blends with a truly unparalleled quality of staff that is always friendly to create an unforgettable experience.

Being something of a retreat, with a strong emphasis on relaxation, there are no electricity sockets nor wifi in the rooms, although you can connect in the lobby and restaurant and charge things here too.

Isla Suasi offers 4 different kinds of accommodations: Double, Twin, Twin on the top floor, Triple and Chalet. All rooms feature private balconies overlooking the lake and a small desk with seating. We particularly love the rooms in the original block, but the new block is also a welcome addition. The downstairs rooms have fireplaces but many of the upstairs rooms are heated by the connecting chimney from the downstairs room and don't have the fireplace in the room.

Double rooms are 23 m2 and has a large double bed, Twins are 26 m2 and have 2 double beds and Twins on the top floor offer the same features but nicer views given its location, Triple rooms are 27m2 and have a single bed and 2 double beds.

The Chalet is a standalone accommodation right in the shore of the lake, and it’s the largest in the property (103 m2). It has 2 bedrooms: one with 2 double beds and another with an extra-large double bed, which makes it ideal for families. It also features a large living area with sofas and a fireplace.

The hotel offers a range of delicious meals in the restaurant, a variety of activities to explore the island and relax, hammocks all along the gardens, massage service, sauna with lake views, trekkings and strolls, kayaking and more. But really relaxing is the name of the game here.

Getting there is an experience on its own. A daily boat crosses the lake from Puno, located about 5 hours away. The hotel can also be accessed by a nice road, 3 hours away from Puno and 2 from Juliaca.
