Exploring Chile

Patagonia Expedition Cruises

Travelling through the fjords of Patagonia can be one of the most fulfilling journeys that you can experience. Fleewinter works closely with Australis, the pioneering company that has been running expedition cruises to this remote area for over 30 years. These epic journeys will take to a little known Patagonia and one that you would not be able to access by land. Here at Fleewinter we have personally tried and tested the voyages and they are still one of our highlights of any South American trip!

Australis operates two vessels, the Ventus and Stella. They both have a capacity of 210 passengers, and operate different itineraries that connect Argentina and Chile. You can choose to travel from Ushuaia to Punta Arenas, or the other way around, making these cruises the perfect way connect the two countries.

Whether you choose the Patagonian Explorer or the Fjords of Tierra del Fuego route, you will live an unforgettable experience. We do recommend to book as early as possible and to enquire with our specialists for the best rates and promotions.

Santiago
The capital of Chile is a vibrant and cosmopolitan city worth spending a few nights in. My favourite places are Lastarria and Bellavista neighbourhood, where you can find plenty of bars, restaurants and boutique shops to keep you entertained, and still close enough to the city's highlights.
Atacama Desert
The Atacama Desert will surely not disappoint you if you are looking for out of this world landscapes! San Pedro de Atacama is the gateway town to this world wonder, and with plenty of desert lodges for all budgets, 3 nights or more in the region are a must!
