Crafted with grown-ups in mind, this two week tour includes some exquisite boutique hotels in secluded locations, while still hitting all the cultural and scenic highlights in each region.
The summer months from May to September brings the sun to the beautiful beaches on the east coast. As well as 3 blissful nights unwinding by the sea, this itinerary includes time in the charming UNESCO Heritage town of Galle, the lush hill country around Ella, Yala National Park and the Knuckles Mountain range.
We think it’s the perfect blend of experiences and downtime – with wildlife encounters, cultural experiences, tea tasting, beach time, shopping and more.
You’re covering a lot of ground (in comfort with a private chauffeur…) so 2 weeks is about right for this loop. It’s ideal for couples looking to avoid the families travelling at the school holidays that fall at this time of year as these hotels are off that track and have an unapologetically adult ambience.
If you’re travelling with a family, check out the alternative hotels in our Classic Summer Tour (which also includes some alternative stops you might like). And if travelling in the winter, try our Classic Highlights Tour.
