Planning a family escape to the Maldives? Yay!
Whether your crew is craving luxury, water sports, or first-time dives, these islands serve up unforgettable family-friendly experiences.
When planning family adventures in the Maldives, pick the island that suits your family’s rhythm.
Love luxe with action? Pullman Maldives Maamutaa offers all‑inclusive ease paired with brilliant marine exploration. Just starting with scuba? Helengeli (Oblu) could be for you, with a breezy, relaxed vibe perfect for first dives and peaceful family time.
I’ve pulled together a few of my favourites here in this blog, and find more on our Maldives for Families pages
It’s great to take some advice from other families, but its going to vary and you know your children best. Think about kids’ ages & energy levels. And while the younger ones may thrive with clubs and calm lagoons while teens may love diving, slides and adrenaline adventures.
Do you want to have ‘stuff going on’ all the time of just relax together in tropical surrounds?
Budget is a big factor too of course. An all inclusive booking can make everything easier to manage while away, leaving you able to say ‘yes’ all the time but costs remain predicable.
And don’t overlook the transfers – some atolls require seaplane or domestic flight which after the international flight might feel like a slog.
