Day 1 - Arrival in Bali

Upon arrival at Ngurah Rai International Airport Bali, you will be met and greeted by your English-speaking butler guide and a private chauffeur, who will escort you directly to your hotel in Ubud using an air-conditioned vehicle. Arrive in Ubud and check in at Mandapa Ubud, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve offers luxury pool villas, unique wellness and dining experiences, and breathtaking architecture. A secluded paradise where lush, rolling hills, the Ayung River and verdant rice paddies create a unique sense of place

Day 2 - Ubud - Free Time

Enjoy scrumptious breakfast at Sawah Terrace Restaurant facing the beautiful rice paddies and tropical forest. This restaurant features a menu that high-lights Balinese cuisine alongside other Asian and healthy delicacies. Located at the heart of the Reserve, it boast covered and outdoor seating and an open kitchen.

Today is free at leisure. Relax at the hotel and enjoy its facilities or go out exploring the hotel surroundings.

To ensure that every need is met and that all guests’ unexpressed wishes are fulfilled beyond expectations, Mandapa Ubud provides guests with a dedicated butler 24 hours a day in each pool villa and suite.

Away from daily distractions, you will find joy in even the simplest activities, whether practicing yoga in the peaceful pavilion, enjoying a good book and health-conscious fresh menus in the food and beverage outlets or swimming in the pool with majestic view of rice field.

Day 3 - Ubud - Cooking Course

“Follow in my Foot Steps” to experience a day in the life of a Balinese lady”. This cooking courses experience will make you understand how the cycle of daily life translates to the plate in traditional Balinese dishes. Follow in the footsteps of a typical Balinese lady to the local market at day break to purchase fresh produce for her family’s daily meals and then back to the kitchen to make her offerings before she proceeds to cook the daily meals. After an early morning breakfast, at 07.00 hrs, you will head to Gelumpang Village, about 1,5 hours from your Resort. Located in the northeast of Bali, Bali Asli is a little far from the beaten track but it is without a doubt one of the most immersive culinary experiences on offer. This restaurant-cum-cooking school is nestled in the foothill of Mount Agung, Bali’s most revered volcano, and is surrounded by paddy fields. True to its namesake, Bali Asli, which means “real Bali” in Indonesian, prides itself on providing an authentic experience.

You will follow in the footsteps of a typical Balinese lady with this specially themed cooking experience “a day in the life of a Balinese lady”, and begins with a visit to the Amlapura local market where together with chef you will sample and select fresh produce and join in the fun of haggling over the prices with the local sellers. That done, gather your purchases together and head off back to the Bali Asli kitchens where you will learn to prepare a traditional flower offering “Canang” before cooking your lunch using traditional equipment and techniques. Begin your organic cooking lesson with tastings from the local market followed by savoring the Balinese lunch that you have cooked in a traditional Balinese pavilion.

Transfer back to your resort afterwards.

Day 4 - Ubud Exploration and Semana High Tea

After breakfast, at 08.30 hrs you will be picked up from your Resort to embark on an Ubud Village exploration. First, we will drive towards Goa Gajah or also known as the Elephant Cave which is a significant Hindu archaeological site with close proximity to the Elephant River.

On the way to Ubud, we will stop at Monkey Forest Sanctuary, a nature reserve temple complex and a small rain forest dwelt by some group of long-tailed Macaques/monkeys and other tropical animals. It’s contains the Pura Dalem Agung Padangtegal temple as well as a “Holy Spring” bathing temple. Proceed to Pura Saraswati Temple and water garden, which was built at the end of the 19th century and named after the Hindu goddess of art and learning “Dewi Saraswati”. Lunch will be served at a local restaurant.

Afterwards, drive to Semana Village, where the luxurious tent for the picnic is set up in a secluded spot surrounded by tropical palm trees and lush greenery. The Experience also includes a short scenic trek to the picnic spot. Savor in the beauty and tranquility while enjoying your picnic cum high tea with a lavish menu comprising gourmet canapés, freshly squeezed fruit juices, premium quality tea and mineral water. Our butler is on hand to cater to your every need.

Should you wish to ease your tired feet a therapist is on hand to massage them with a soothing footbath of natural essence that includes lime, sea salt and flower petals. Soak in the sunshine while enjoying the foot massage along the Ayung River. There are other activities to liven up the afternoon – a 30-minute yoga session facing the sun conducted by an experienced teacher, and an invigorating body massage in the open so you can enjoy the fresh air while relaxing under the soothing hands of the masseur. Picnic ends around evening, when the sun is setting, and you are transported back to your hotel.

Day 5 - Cruise to Sebayour Island

After breakfast at your Resort, you will be transferred to the Ngurah Rai International airport to catch your flight to Labuan Bajo. Labuan Bajo is a charming little fishing village clinging to the Western tip of Flores. It is also the best jumping-off point for Komodo and Rinca. The harbor is littered with out-rigger fishing boats and is sheltered by the islands, giving impression that you’re standing on the shores of a vast lake.

Upon arrival at Labuan Bajo airport, an Alexa Private Cruise representative will greet you on arrival at the airport, assist you with luggage and escort you to the Alexa Vessel at Labuan Bajo harbor which is a 5 minutes drive from the airport. While your luggage is transferred aboard Alexa, enjoy a refreshing welcome drink and a tour of the facilities aboard. You will also meet the crew and receive a safety briefing for your stay with us.

Once you are settled, Alexa Vessel will then depart the harbor for a 2 hour crossing to Sebayur Island. Snacks and drinks are available during the crossing and lunch will be served once we arrive. The after-noon is at leisure to enjoy a snorkel or an introductory dive within the area in the beautiful waters off the island. Sebayor Kecil is perfect for a check dive, where we have the opportunity to dive with black-tip reef sharks, groups of tuna, and green turtles diving from the surface.

Alexa will then depart to Pink Beach, around 2 hours, and during this time you may wish to enjoy spa treatment from our Talika Spa therapist. A perfect way to round off your first day. As the day ends with a stunning sunset over the Komodo Island hills, the evening rounds out with a superb gourmet meal and Alexa will moor overnight in a beautiful secluded cove.

Day 6 - Pink Beach & Komodo National Park

After a superb breakfast, we head ashore to the most beautiful Pink Beach which gets its name and color from crushed red coral blended with sugar- soft white sand. This pristine beach is perfect for a dive or snorkel in the many shades of turquoise waters, with the underwater scenery as beautiful and full of life as the one above it.

Here we have the opportunity to go trekking in search of the legendary Komodo Dragon. Guided by Park Rangers, the walk will take you along prom-ising paths where the native wildlife is in abun-dance. On the lookout for exotic birdlife and flying lizards in their natural habitat, this trek usually takes about 2 hours or until the famous and fascinating dragon is located.

Back onboard Alexa for a well deserved lunch, we then set sail to Padar Island where we anchor in a bay surrounded by stunning beaches. Padar Island is the third largest island in the Komodo National Park. It is famous for its long stretches of deserted white beaches. The bays are also perfect for wake-boarding as the waters are flat and calm and the scenery is just spectacular.

Alexa will spend the night on anchor in a secluded cove, and it is here we set up our beach barbeque on a soft white sandy beach. Star-gaze, relax on plush white cushions and indulge in the freshest grilled seafood on offer, caught during the days sail and prepared especially for you by our Chef.

Day 7 - Cruise to Rinca Island

After a full gourmet breakfast, Alexa will start to navigate back through the bays and coves to-wards Rinca Island, also home to the Komodo Dragon, this dry and rugged island is well-known for its diverse wildlife. Apart from dragons, we may spot monkeys, wild buffaloes and deer. From the top of the hills, the scenery is spectacular.

Then you will set sail to Tengha Island which is a wonderful spot for diving and snorkeling. This is a cruising time of around 4hrs.

So whether you are ashore exploring, swimming in the warm tropical waters off a deserted sand cay, or relaxing aboard with a Spa treatment, this day of your journey will be one never to be forgotten. The afternoon cruise takes us to Siaba Island, which is surrounded by secluded bays and private beaches. The underwater coral gardens here are spectacular. As evening approaches, Siaba is the perfect viewpoint for a final sunset over the Komodo Islands.

Day 8 - Labuan Bajo - Bali

Alexa departs early in the morning to set sail to Labuan Bajo, Flores. Breakfast is served and then it’s time to prepare for disembarkation. Your luggage will be transferred to the airport and depending on the time of your flight, there may be time for one last interesting tour through the local markets, and visit the Batu Cermin cave.

Your transfer to the airport will be arranged from this point and the Alexa representative will assist until you are ready to board your flight to Denpasar, Bali. Upon arrival at Denpasar airport, you will be met, and then transfer to your hotel in Seminyak, which is one of the famous tourist places in South part of Bali which own beautiful of calm sea water, blackish chromatic sand .

Day 9 - Seminyak - Day Free at Leisure

Today is free at leisure. Otherwise if you are interested, you can join one of our optional tour, such as “Inspiring Central Bali” to unfold some of Bali’s best treasures.

Day 10 - Uluwatu Temple & Massages & Romantic Dinner

Our butler guide will pick you up from your hotel in Seminyak at approx. 13.30 hrs and drive towards Uluwatu Temple. Admire the beauty and the dramatic view from this temple perched 30 meters above the cliff facing the Indian Ocean.

Next, immerse yourself to the ultimate in pampering and indulgence at the “Ayana Resort & Spa” Bali wellness treatment. For centuries, Indonesian women have utilized natural herbal concoctions, creams and oils to enhance natural beauty and to maintain health. The 75 minutes “Deep Relaxation Massage” is a massage with aromatherapy herbal balm to calm your spirit, using a combination of Balinese long strokes and Hawaian lomi-lomi to eliminate stress and increase lymphatic drainage.

The relaxing massage treatments will be followed by a short drive towards Sundara Restaurant at Jimbaran Bay to enjoy the perfect mix of five-star flair and relaxed beach-club vibe at this Bali’s most sophisticated dining experiences, focusing on steak and seafood (beverages are not included).

Day 11 - Seminyak - Free at Leisure

Enjoy your breakfast at the hotel. Today is free at leisure. Otherwise if you are interested, you can join one of our optional tour, such as “Bali Ordinary Living” which will brings you on a full day trip of immersion in Balinese daily life through a sustainable tour-ism initiative by local villagers of the Tunjuk village.

Day 12 - Bon Voyage

Breakfast will be provided at the hotel. You still have time to relax until the departure time. At the appropriate time, our guide will pick you up and escort you to the the airport.
