Travelling with the extended family is great fun and makes for wonderful memories.
But sometimes everyone needs their own space too. We have the answer, with this 10 day stay spread over two luxury Maldives islands!
Begin at Anantara Dhigu, where families stay on the main island and grandparents or couples can stay separately in over-water villas on adult-only sister island Veli. The islands are attached, and all the facilities at Dhigu are available to all, including restaurants, large water-sports centre, infinity pool and kids club. The best of both worlds.
Move on for three nights at Ozen Mahdoo in a large family villa with private pool before you head home. Here you will find an underwater restaurant, a submarine, and one of the most comprehensive all-inclusive packages in the Maldives.
We’ve created this itinerary based on a 10 night stay with 4 adults and 2 children travelling. This is just a stating point. Speak to our specialist on 0207 112 0019 or email maldives@fleewinter.com for a quote tailored to you.
Land in the Maldives after your night flight, and be welcomed by our local team who will whisk your bags away and the holiday begins.
You have just a short speedboat transfer to Anantara Dhigu and Veli, your home for the week.
Arrive in time for a dip in the pool and a chance to explore the island before dinner.
All the facilities at Anantara Dhigu are available to all, including tennis courts, yoga, fitness centre and water-sports centre.
Veli is a calm, quieter island and is exclusively for the guests of that island. The only exception is dining at the restaurants on Veli, which can be pre-booked for groups including children.
There are lots of day trips on offer suited to all the family including a dolphin quest and a trip to a private picnic island
Pop the kids in the Dhoni kids club and visit the luxurious spa today.
The treatment suites are perched over the ocean, and we highly recommend booking your treatment to end around sunset and just resting on the calm deck or in the plunge pool after.
There’s something for all levels at Dhigu. Anyone over 10 years old might be interested to take a full PADI course in diving, however you can also have Beginners or Refresher’s Guided dive around the house reef as its just 12 metres deep.
In the Maldives, the snorkelling alone is richly rewarding. You can expect to see manta rays, hundreds of varieties of colourful fish, turtles and even whale sharks. Just collect equipment from the water-sports centre.
Glass bottomed kayaks are a perfect way for the whole family to explore the calm lagoon, and spot the fish below.
The more adventurous might like to try fly boarding, kite surfing, SUP boarding and banana boat rides.
Arrange in-villa babysitting and treat yourself to an adults only dining experience for your last night.
As well as seven a la carte restaurants to choose from, you also have the option to arrange an extra special dining experience on the beach or a small group wine tasting evening.
Check out after breakfast and head to Ozen Mahdoo and settle in to your new accommodation.
Here you’ll all be staying in an Earth Pool Pavillion – an expansive villa with 2 bedrooms and your own private pool.
Snorkel and explore today, and enjoy dinner at the underwater restaurant! This is included in the generous all-inclusive package at Ozen.
How do you want to spend the last day? Relax at your private pool, take a boat trip out to watch the sunset, or book into the award winning spa.
This package is based on a family of 4 plus 2 additional adults travelling and is based on sample dates in 2020. Contact maldives@fleewinter.com for a detailed quote based on your exact dates and party details.
