Bigger is better at Anantara Dhigu, where guests can enjoy access to 2 spas, and no less than 7 restaurants, one for every day of the week!

Anantara have cleverly used the three islands in this lagoon to cater to all guests, from families and groups to honeymooners. The first island - Dhigufinolhu - is the largest of the three and has a relaxed atmosphere recommended for families. This is where all guests will arrive and where the main reception is located.

On Anantara Dhigu you have the choice to stay in a beach villa or an over water bungalow, and there are some fantastic family villas with two bedrooms, a private pool or garden and some great larger options for bigger groups.

The second island - Veligandu Huraa - is reserved for adults only, although open to everyone for dining. It has a sophisticated air of tropical chic that is likely to appeal to hip 25s - 50s.

The third island - Naladhu - offers stunning villas with a contemporary twist on old colonial luxury, and is accessible to the limited number of island guests only.

Well thought-out Anantara has something for everyone and while part of a chain the resort manages to feel unbranded and almost like an independent boutique resort.

Anantara has no fewer than seven restaurants - There is a Thai option, Italian, Seafood Grill, Relaxed Bistro, Maldivian Cafe, Pizza Bar, 2 poolside bars as well as dine by design where guests can enjoy a private dining experience anywhere on the resort including a sand bank in the middle of the lagoon. Then of course there is room service and full in room bars for each bungalow which can be stocked with drinks of your choosing prior to arrival.

The Maldives is ideal for diving and snorkelling, both of which the resort will be delighted to arrrange for you. There is a wide range of water sports on offer, plus day trips out to deserted islands, for turtle or dolphin spotting, or to the capital Male for a spot of shopping. For something more relaxed the resort has 2 internationally regarded spas to choose from - and a kids club so that mum and dad have time to enjoy it.
