Day 1 - Welcome to the Maldives!

Arrive into Malé this morning following your overnight flight, and hop straight on a speedboat for a quick journey to your island home for the next week – Anantara Dhigu.

Our local team will welcome you and take care of your bags.

Settle in to your cosy villa on the beach, before a sunset dinner with your feet in the sand at one of the seven restaurants on the large island.

Day 2 - Explore the island

Wake when you are ready, enjoy a big breakfast and explore the island at your pace today.

You could pop the children in the kids club and enjoy a few hours in the spa as well!

Day 3 - Explore the House Reef

Pop by the dive centre to collect your complimentary snorkelling equipment and explore the vibrant house reef today.

There are also various watersports on offer including Flyboarding, Surfing, Kiteboarding and much more. Glass bottom kayaks are an ideal way for younger children to take a peek below the surface as well.

Day 4 - Day trip

Take a day trip today.

You could head to the Maldivian capital of Malé and explore the markets and spot houses made of natural coral. Or go on a fishing excursion  and learn the traditional techniques. A relaxing sunset cruise is a must too – and don’t forget your camera, it’s impossible to take a bad picture of a Maldives sunset

Day 5 - More adventures

You are spoilt for choice at this resort, and there’s something for everyone. Take today to try cookery classes for all ages, the tennis court, infinity pool, fitness centre or yoga classes – to name just a few.

Day 6 - Last night

Consider booking an extra special dining experience for your last night. As well as the multiple restaurants you can also arrange destination dining at exquisite spots around the island.

Day 7 - Time to head to Sri Lanka

It’s back to the airport today, and on to your next adventure! It’s just over an hour to Colombo airport, and your driver will meet you in the arrivals hall.

Hop in your private air conditioned vehicle for the transfer to the cultural heart of Sri Lanka and rest in your hotel at the base of striking Sigiriya Rock Fortress.

Dine at your hotel and get an early night.

Day 8 - Sigiriya & Safari

After an early breakfast, climb Sigiriya Lion’s Rock before the heat of the day sets in.

The Sigiriya rock fortress is a remarkable feat of engineering and a fascinating example of artistic craftsmanship. It’s most famous for its frescoes painted on the rock surface itself, and the incredible views as you ascend.

Later, head on to Minneriya National Park, one of the best places in the country to see elephants in a natural habitat. The ‘Elephant Gathering’ is a unique experience to witness, between May and September. There are also huge numbers of birds, deer and crocodiles in the scrubland.

Spend the evening resting at your hotel. Perhaps book into the spa for a treat after a long but exhilarating day.

Day 9 - Kandy

Check out, and enjoy a more leisurely day today, including some time to explore Kandy city and a cookery demonstration at your hotel.

Day 10 - Colombo City tour / Fly home

Depending on your flight time, this is the perfect day to visit a working tea plantation, and take a walking tour of Colombo with lots of street food stops.

Your driver will drop you and your luggage at the airport for your flight home.
