Have you ever had that moment where you get somewhere and think “oh God. Everyone else is here too.”
A spot you read about on the internet, thought it looked beautiful – and then immediately regretting going because all the other travellers clearly read the same article?
But how to avoid that hotspot regret in Greece, one of the world’s most loved destinations?
Helen had hotspot regret when she visited the blue caves of Paxos for the first time at 11am, just as every single day tripper boat arrived, complete with 400,000 selfie sticks.
The water was blue … but not so blue that it was worth swimming through the crowds of people in the water!
So a quick discussion with her crew-mate later, up went the anchor, on went the engine – and just over a mile away was another cave – this one complete with a fishing boat, and not much else.
Peaceful, beautiful – just minus the FOMO.
A Typical Week Aboard a luxury yacht will see you visiting these beautiful places well before (or after!) the crowds have gone – pampered by your crew and swept away the moment it starts feeling a bit crowded.
