Culture, coastlines and the world-famous dragons of Komodo – a gentle, varied journey through Indonesia’s islands.
If you’re dreaming of a holiday that blends gentle adventure with plenty of time to breathe, this itinerary threads together three very different sides of Indonesia. You’ll begin in Bali, where temples sit quietly between rice terraces and incense drifts from small family shrines. From there you’ll head across to Lombok – an island with quieter beaches, green valleys and villages where life moves at a slower, soothing pace. Finally, you’ll finish with the big one: a liveaboard trip into Komodo National Park, home to some of the most extraordinary landscapes and wildlife in Southeast Asia.
This isn’t a rushed itinerary. It’s designed so you can settle in properly, wake up to new views without feeling you’re constantly repacking, and spend time with local people who are genuinely proud to show you their home. Think lazy mornings by the sea, simple lunches in village gardens, warm evenings in small harbours, and moments when you realise you’re somewhere very special indeed.
You’ll be met at Denpasar Airport and driven straight to Ubud, the cultural heart of Bali. It’s a lovely place to begin: peaceful lanes, small family temples, craft shops, cafés and rice paddies just beyond the centre.
Depending on your arrival time, you might want a stroll or simply a quiet evening to get over the journey.
