Upon arrival at Windhoek airport, you will have a transfer to your accommodation. Here you will have the opportunity to spend the afternoon at leisure.
Windhoek is a city of many contrasts. Modern skyscrapers blend with historic buildings dating from the turn of the century.
1 night Olive Grove
After breakfast you will be taken to the Eros Airport, for your air taxi to NamibRand Nature Reserve. A vast privately-owned reserve covering almost 200 000 hectares bordering the Namib Naukluft Park. On arrival at the airstrip you will be met by one of your local guides, who will take you to the lodge. The Dune Camp is perched on top of a dune plateau, overlooking panoramic vistas.
2 nights at Wolwedans Dune Camp
Two activities are included today. The lodge’s experienced guides will introduce you to the desert’s habitat and diverse fauna and flora and will accompany you into the desert, enlightening you of the wilderness’s own history and residents.
Today’s flight will give you an aerial view of the majestic dunes surrounding Sossusvlei. Proceed along the coast (subject to weather conditions) over Conception Bay, Sandwich Harbour and its famous lagoon to Swakopmund. Spend today and tomorrow to explore Swakopmund. Swakopmund has plenty of activities on offer. We can recommend a dolphin cruise (not included in the travel price)
2 nights at Strand Hotel Swakopmund
Today your flight takes you to your next destination: the Hoanib Valley Camp. Situated on the banks of the Obias River in the Kunene region.
The activities offered by the camp focus on the flora and fauna that have adapted to this desert region. You can also participate in exciting game observation trips or join the guides for a visit to the local tribes of Himba, Herero or Damara.
2 nights Hoanib Valley Camp
Today you will have a road transfer to the Shipwreck Lodge. Make sure to have your camera ready as you might spot a few animals along the way. Shipwreck Lodge is located in the famous Skeleton Coast Central Concession between the Hoarusib and Hoanib Rivers in the Skeleton Coast Park, only 68 km north of Möwe Bay.
2 nights at Shipwreck Lodge
Two activities are included today. There are day excursions by vehicle to the Möwe Bay seal colony. You could take part in a sundowner drive to the roaring dunes. Or enjoy a full day Hoarusib River excursion. A 4×4 trip to the Clay Castles, a natural geological formation, where brown hyenas are often encountered. Fortunate clients could possibly see the desert adapted elephants and lions.
Your destination today is nestled on a hillside amongst Mopani trees overlooking a large waterhole and the vast expanse of Etosha. Etosha Safari Lodge offers infinite views over the plains below. The landscape is dominated by vast flat savannah, interspersed by Mopani woodland, riverine forest and scattered salt pans.
2 night at Etosha Safari Lodge
Join the lodge today on game drives and bush walks, where the experienced guides share with their guests their intimate knowledge of the wildlife and the land that is part of their natural heritage. Perfect for wildlife observation is the hide at the lodge.
