The Health & Beauty Tour

From wandering the ancient city of Petra to the flowing sandy dunes of the Wadi Rum, there are thousands of things to experience in Jordan – but why not treat yourself a little as you do so? Our Health and Beauty Tour of Jordan combines elements of both health and fitness with a lot of pampering ‘you time’. You can get your blood pumping with invigorating hikes through gorgeous canyons with small cascading waterfalls, and end your day with an oriental massage and relaxing mud wrap. Explore Petra, and spend the evening relaxing in a Turkish Hammam. With so many wonderful spa treatments on your itinerary (including plenty of time at the Dead Sea itself) you’ll arrive back home fully refreshed in both body and mind.

Your Itinerary

Day 1 - Dead Sea

Arrive at Amman Queen Alia International Airport, where our airport representative will be waiting for you with a name sign to organize and pay your visa fee. The airport rep will walk you through customs to the luggage hall, and then take you to your driver who will be waiting for you in the arrival hall, also holding a name sign. The transfer to your hotel will take about 1 hour, for an overnight stay at the 4* Dead Sea Spa Hotel.

Day 2 - Dead Sea

Spend your first full day relaxing by the Dead Sea. Float in the salty water and try out the famous natural healing mud full of the minerals. We’ll book two treatments for you on this day; 1 in the morning and 1 in the afternoon. Oriental Massage of 50 minutes & Relaxing Mud Wrap of 50 minutes

Start your first day very relaxed, and discover all the facilities of the hotel such as the swimming pool, beach and Spa. Relax before and after the treatment in the sauna, steam bath, Jacuzzi, salt bath and swimming pool of the spa and, obviously, don’t forget to float in the salty waters of the Dead Sea.  Stay overnight at the  4* Dead Sea Spa Hotel.

Day 3 - Dead Sea

You’ll have another free day to relax by the Dead Sea and enjoy the many facilities of the hotel.

Optional (from 1st  April – 30th  Oct ): After breakfast you’ll have the opportunity to drive to Wadi Mujib to hike the adventurous and exciting Malaqi water trail. This hike is difficult but a lot of fun and takes around 6-8 hours. You will be hiking with a private English-speaking RSCN guide. It starts at the visitor centre and leads quickly to a striking area of creamy white hills made of soft rock deposits. After passing through these hills, you’ll begin your descent to the river Mujib; crystal clear, fast flowing and teeming with life. Small fish are plentiful, as well as frogs. Bright kingfishers are often seen speeding along the river channel, as well as circling birds of prey. Dense vegetation lines the river banks, making a stark contrast to the arid, naked mountains that surround you. The hike continues upstream along the river to its confluence with the Hidan River (Malaqi Area). Here you can linger, eat a picnic and just enjoy this wild paradise.

Day 4 - Dead Sea – Wadi Ibn Hamad – Petra

On this day you’ll drive to Wadi Ibn Hamad, where your next hike is planned. At Hammamat Ibn Hamad you will find palms, oleanders and lots of other vegetation. Before you start the hike you have the chance to enjoy an hour in the warm swimming pools of the Hot Springs.  You’ll then start hiking with your private English-speaking guide through this beautiful Wadi. You will pass through an open area and then go through an amazing canyon with beautiful small waterfalls. Sit under the small waterfalls and have a lot of fun! Continue hiking until you reach the Dead Sea road where a car will be waiting to transfer you directly to Petra for overnight stay at 4* Petra Guest House. Dinner is not included on this night, but there are several restaurants close to the hotel as well as a buffet dinner option at the hotel. (Boxed lunches are included)

Day 5 - Petra

You’ll have a full day to explore Petra, one of the seven wonders of the world. There is private local English-speaking guide included for 2-3 hours who will show you around the city centre of Petra. After you have visited the Siq, Treasury, Street of Facades, Theatre and Colonnaded Street you will still have time to see the Monastery and/or the High Place of Sacrifice. It is a lot of climbing, but worth it for the views! We can organize a lunch package for you or you can reserve lunch in a restaurant in Petra. Of course you are free to do what you like. In the evening you will visit the local Turkish Ham-mam, well deserved after a full day of touring Petra! Stay overnight at the 4* Petra Guest House

Day 6 - Petra – Wadi Gwair – Petra

Today you will hike the Wadi Gwair Trail. The guide will be waiting for you in the lobby of your hotel, to drive you to Mansoura and start your hike. Make sure to wear comfortable clothes and strong sturdy shoes – it’s important to bring an extra pair of shoes with you, since you’ll be walking through water streams and are sure to get your feet wet (this is important for all hikes). Also you’ll need to bring a cap to protect you from the sun. Although most of the hike you’ll be walking through the canyon in the shade, at the end of the hike you will be walking in full sun. Lunch boxes will be prepared in advance. The hike takes around 5-7 hours, at the end of which there will be jeeps waiting to take you back to your hotel in Petra. Stay overnight at the 4* Petra  Guest House

Day 7 - Petra – Evason Ma'In Hot Spring

Amman
If you're looking to immerse yourself in a labyrinth of souks and bazaars, where all kinds of colourful and exotic fruits, clothes and jewellery spill out from their stalls onto the streets, then look no further than Amman. What really makes the city unique, however, is how it has managed to combine both the ancient and the modern like no other city in the region. As you wander the bustling interwoven streets that flow through the valleys of Downtown you're forever in the shadow of Jabal Al Qal'a - the highest hill in the city, and home to the sprawling ruins of the Roman citadel. In fact, wherever you go in Amman you'll find ancient history around every corner, such as the spectacular Temple of Hercules and the magisterial Umayyad Palace. When visiting Jordan, Amman is one of the must-see places on your visit.
Jerash
The Roman ruins of Jerash are among the most well-preserved in the world; so well in fact that it's very easy to lose yourself in its history and imagine how it was back in its day. There's the hippodrome, where chariot races were once held, Hadrian's arch, built purposely for a visit from the emperor Adrian, and the Corinthian columns of the Temple of Artemis. If you love history make sure it's on your itinerary.
Petra
Jordan is famously home to one of the seven modern wonders of the world - the ancient, rose red city of Petra - which is so utterly captivating that it's reason alone to travel there. You arrive at Petra through the Siq, a long narrow canyon formed over many years, which gradually opens out onto the most elaborate of Petra's facades - the treasury. Carved out of sandstone onto the face of the rock itself, the size and grandeur of this sight will simply take your breath away, making it the perfect introduction to this awe-inspiring city. If you have the time, don't miss the chance to wander Petra by night - the magical, candlelit facades make for the experience of a lifetime.
Wadi Rum
The deserts of the Wadi Rum are simply packed with things to see and do. Whether you fancy camping and stargazing under a perfect night sky, rolling down immense sand dunes, riding in 4x4s with experienced guides, or simply pretending to be Lawrence of Arabia - here at FleeWinter we can help you do them all. You'll discover Bedouin tented camps, fantastic natural rock bridges, ancient drawings carved into the stones thousands of years ago, all set against the gorgeous red and yellow backdrop of the desert itself. An absolute must.
Dead Sea
What trip to Jordan would be complete without a visit to the Dead Sea? It's impossible not to be amazed at the salinity and viscosity of the water as you wade in, desperately trying to make your foot touch the floor - something which catches all first-timers by surprise. Be sure to take a newspaper with you for the customary floating and reading pic, and be sure to treat your skin to a good soak in the rich, black, mineral-infused mud you'll find along the shore. The most beautiful health spa you'll ever visit.
Aqaba
The waters of Aqaba are among the most colourful in the world, so be sure to take the time to try a little snorkelling. Even right by the coast you can float over vast, sloping coral gardens but go a little further to the King Abdullah Reef in the middle of the Red Sea and you can share the water with turtles, rays, and huge shoals of brightly coloured neon fish. Be sure to take an underwater camera.
Dana Nature Reserve
Dana is Jordan’s largest nature reserve, covering spectacular mountains and wadis along the face of the Great Rift Valley. From scorching sand dunes in the west to cool mountain tops in the east, the Dana Biosphere Reserve is home to a great variety of wildlife. There are plants and animals characteristic of true desert, of Mediterranean forests and of the dry plains of Russia. In fact, Dana is really a melting pot of species from three continents: Europe, Africa and Asia.
Madaba
Madaba, known as the “City of Mosaics" is best known for its spectacular Byzantine and Umayyad mosaics. Madaba is home to the famous 6th century Mosaic Map of Jerusalem and the Holy Land. With two million pieces of vividly coloured local stone, it depicts hills and valleys, villages and towns as far as the Nile Delta.
