The houses date from about 500 years ago and have been carefully restored into comfortable 'casas'. There are 11 casas and six suites, each one with a unique design and character. The design fuses an architectural mix of Southern Bahian and Indian influences, with rustic modernism.
The beach bar is the perfect definition of rustic sophistication. The restaurant mixes innovation and traditional Bahian cuisine. The hotel also offers capoeira, pilates, yoga and even traditional forró lessons, besides the ones at the beach, such as surfing, kayaking and beach volley. The Spa is a site of spectacular biodiversity with diverse influences resulting in an exclusive range of treatments and natural products.
The facility features 11 unique and spacious houses that blend seamlessly into the historic center of Trancoso, in total integration with the surrounding nature. All houses are decorated in rustic style, with wooden details, soft, light colors, several corners with seating, a living area with flat-screen cable TV, a fully equipped kitchen, indoor or outdoor bathrooms and a magnificent view of either the garden or the Square. Each house is named after the old owner and brings their past history to life.
Every month Uxua organises a moon night (luau) with special menu, live music, capoeira presentations. The whole community is invited!It is pretty amazing to be there!
