Luxurious beachfront villas and suites with a rainforest backdrop on the east coast of Malaysia's mainland in Cherating
Villas are quite spacious and are elegantly designed with original works of art and an architectural style that aims to update traditional Malay concepts. Beachfront Villas feature a large living room separate from the bedroom, a private deck with plunge pool and outdoor shower, and direct beach access. Each villa has a small garden area adding natural privacy to the outdoor space. Beachfront Family Villas have two bedrooms, one with a king bed on the upper floor and the other with two single beds on the ground level. First floor views look over the private plunge pool and directly to the South China Sea. Forest Villas have three bedrooms including a suite on the ground floor that can be closed off from the living space and is entirely accessible for the mobility-impaired. Each has a private pool and deck surrounded by the lush green forest. Keep an eye out for monkeys in the trees!
A number of rooms and a large Rooftop Penthouse are located in the resort's main building. Attic Suites have two single beds and a comfortable seating area. Oceanview Suites have a king sized bed with sofa and verandahs looking out to the water. The Rooftop Penthouse has two one-bedroom suites, one with a king bed and the other with two singles. Each has a generous living room and balcony with incredible ocean views.
Kenyang Restaurant serves a mix of Asian dishes using locally sourced fish, seafood, herbs, and vegetables. Nyonya, Malay, Thai, and Chinese dishes can be found on the menu which changes based on season and the local ingredients. Ketapang Spa offers massages and treatments in a sea view spa or within your villa. Guests are encouraged to visit a nearby turtle hatchery to learn about conservation efforts and, if the timing is right, help with the release of young green turtles. Snorkelling, kayaking, nature walks, cultural tours, and more can be arranged.
The Kasturi is located approximately three hours drive from Kuala Lumpur or one hour from the Kuantan airport. Local restaurants and beaches are a short drive from the hotel.
