A luxurious retreat in the stunning highlands of Ipoh.
All villas have open air geothermal hot spring tubs with plenty of privacy and have been designed to sit in harmony with the environment. You'll find all the amenities you'd expect of a luxury hotel including lush fabrics, oversized beds, and high quality bath amenities. The soothing decor pays homage to the indigenous peoples of the area and the jungle environment.
Lake Villas are ideal for two with either a king or twin bed configuration. With jungle and views from the terrace, these villas have a private plunge pool beside the hot spring tub. Water villas are substantially larger and can accommodate a third person. These sit on the edge of a lotus pond and include ample seating areas as well as a terrace overlooking the pond. The plunge pool may be exposed to other guests while the geothermal tub remains secluded.
Garden Villas are ideal for a couple seeking a secluded escape. Set in the jungle with a private swimming pool inside a courtyard, these large villas have indoor and outdoor living areas, an outdoor shower, and two sun beds. These are only available with a king bed and there is space for an extra bed for a third person. Equally large Grand Garden Villas are also ideal for a couple and have more focus on the indoor living space than the jungle feel of the Garden Villas. These also have a private swimming pool, outdoor shower, and spacious geothermal tub. The two-bedroom Royal Villa is ideal for a family of four with one king bed and a set of twins, a private swimming pool, spacious living area, and two geothermal hot spring tubs.
Ipoh is known amongst Malaysians for its great food and The Banjaran works hard to uphold that reputation. The all-day restaurant, Pomelo, sits beside the geothermal lake offering a mix of local and international options. Afternoon tea, cocktails, and mocktails are available with panoramic views at On the Rocks. This terrace above the steam cave is also gorgeous when the stars come out. Dinner at the incredibly unique Jeff's Cellar must be reserved at least 48 hours in advance. With a dress code and farm-to-table degustation menus, this fine dining restaurant nestled within a 26-million-year-old limestone cave is a once-in-a-lifetime experience. If a stay at The Banjaran is part of your Fleewinter holiday, please do let us know if you'd like a table reserved.
The Banjaran is located on the outskirts of historic Ipoh. Approximately two and a half hours drive from the Cameron Highlands and the same distance from Georgetown on the island of Penang, and Kuala Lumpur, the region is easily reached by road. Penang and Kuala Lumpur are both viable airports. The town of Ipoh is finding its place on the tourist map with its architecture, food, and the beautiful surroundings each their own draw.
Please note that guests under the age of 12 are not permitted at The Banjaran Hotsprings Retreat.
