Commanding Spetses harbour since 1914, Posedonion Grand Hotel blends Riviera elegance with modern Greek hospitality.

This grand hotel still heads just as it did when it first opened in 1914. Built by philanthropist Sotirios Anargyros and inspired by the grand hotels of Cannes and Nice, this landmark property brought Continental glamour to the Saronic Gulf and quickly became the summer haven of Athenian high society, royalty, and political figures.

Following a meticulous restoration, the hotel now combines Belle Époque splendour with contemporary comforts across two wings—the Historic Wing preserving original features, and the New Wing offers more contemporary comforts.

The 52 rooms and suites offer understated luxury - elegant wooden floors, carefully chosen furnishings, and high ceilings create an atmosphere of refined comfort, whilst balconies frame views across the harbour to the pine-clad Peloponnese or over the hotel's Mediterranean gardens. Grand architectural design sits alongside flat-screen televisions, minibars, and marble bathrooms - heritage and modern convenience in perfect harmony. The jewel in the crown is the Royal Suite with its three en-suite bedrooms and expansive terrace overlooking the sea.

Dining here is a serious affair. The award-winning On the Verandah restaurant, helmed by Michelin-honoured chef Christoforos Peskias, serves refined Greek cuisine using vegetables and herbs from the hotel's own organic hillside farm at Bostani. The Library Brasserie offers all-day dining on the sunny terrace perfect for a leisurely breakfast that runs until 11am, and light lunches. At the Palms Bar, enjoy a sundowner a cocktail and watch it set over the Saronic Gulf, in summer months, the hotel's open-air cinema adds a touch of old-world romance to balmy evenings.

The hotel was the first in Greece to offer spa services, and that pioneering spirit continues at the Idolo Spa, where Asian-trained therapists provide rejuvenating treatments. The inviting pool, surrounded by palms, offers a tranquil retreat, whilst the car-free island beyond invites exploration on foot or by horse-drawn carriage. With Dapia's boutiques, galleries, and tavernas just steps away and the hotel's prime harbourfront position offering endless opportunities for people-watching, the Poseidonion delivers exactly what grand hotels should: timeless elegance, impeccable, yet discreet service, and ultimate comfort.
