Kwandwe Ecca Lodge is located in the big five private concession of Kwandwe Game Reserve in 22 000 hectares of pristine, malaria free wilderness.
There are 6 spacious suites with en suite bathrooms, indoor and outdoor shower, a separate WC and twin vanity basins. The suites have large private verandas with plunge pools to cool off in the afternoon.
The main lodge area has a spacious sitting room with fireplace for cooler evenings as well as an indoor dining area and bar to enjoy an afternoon drink. There is a wooden veranda with view decks overlooking the reserve. Cool down in the main lodge swimming pool or relax in the study with a book.

Your stay includes all meals, soft drinks, house wines, local branded spirits and beers, laundry, scheduled safari activities and nature walks.
Morning and evening game drives are conducted in open land rovers and an experienced guide will share their knowledge of the bush with you. Enjoy guided game walks and bush picnics during your stay (weather permitting). The Kwandwe Private Reserve is home to the Big Five as well as a variety of predators and general game, including cheetah, kudu, springbok, eland, red hartebeest, giraffe, black wildebeest and gemsbok (Oryx).
In addition to the traditional stay at a private game reserve, Kwandwe Private Reserve also offers a variety of extra safaris which can be pre-booked at an additional cost. Experience guided nature walks and open game drives, and bush breakfasts, sunset drinks or dinner in a variety of scenic locations. Or go further in your understanding by spending time with the community at the Mgcamabele Community Centre, or get involved with our conservation efforts on a rhino monitoring drive and planting our wonder plant, spekboom.

Access to Kwandwe Ecca Lodge is easy with daily direct flights to Port Elizabeth from Cape Town, Durban or Johannesburg. The lodge is located and easy 2 hour drive from the airport. Transfers and charter flight transfers are also possible. To end your Garden Route holiday with a safari experience is also a great way to finish (or begin) your South Africa holiday.
