Charming boutique hotel filled with Newari art on the outskirts of Bhaktapur's ancient city
All rooms showcase elaborately hand-carved wooden windows, beds and mirrors in traditional Newari designs. Natural products from the local community are featured such as lokta paper and organic cotton. Rich colours complement the dark wood and exposed brick, creating a delightful sense of home and history. There's plenty of space to relax, store luggage, and unroll a yoga mat (which is provided). Rooms are available with a king bed, twin beds, and a triple room with one double and one single bed.
Kutumba is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner with a selection of authentic Nepali and Newari cuisine made by fresh produce from the local farms of Bhaktapur. Seating is available indoors and in the garden courtyard. Tribal Bar offers a selection of local and imported beer, wine, and cocktails.
Hotel Heritage is located just outside the protected district of Bhhaktpur within walking distance of many restaurants, shops, and the historic sites of town. Kathmandu's airport is between 25 and 45 minutes drive.
