Family owned and run Cristalino Lodge is an exceptional destination for nature lovers, sitting lightly and sustainably in a private reserve and bordering the vast Cristalino State Park, a vital conservation area in the southern Amazon.
Blending in with the native forest on the banks of the River Cristalino, the stand-alone wooden bungalows offer modern high-quality facilities. They all have high ceilings, ceramic tiled floors, ceiling fans and large windows which provide natural ventilation and offer beautiful views of the forest.
The floating deck is situated on the river. In the evening the open log fire creates a cheerful atmosphere, where guests can embrace the lush nature and a sky full of stars.
This lodge is located in a more elevated part of the Amazon, which means that the river does not flood the forest here, allowing walks along the forest trails at any time of year and increasing the chance of spotting animals. There are many activities to enjoy such as canoeing, jungle walks, bird-watching, photography tours and educational trips to the observation towers where you can catch the sunrise and sunset.
Alta Floresta's only flight connection used to be with Cuiaba, however, from 2025 Azul airlines will start direct flights from and to Sao Paulo, thus making a stay at Cristalino much easier.
