Camp Figtree is a luxury, Colonial styled lodge in the heart of Addo, on top of the scenic Zuurberg Mountain range in a private reserve and boasts a breath-taking 270 degree view.
Each of these spacious suites is uniquely decorated, featuring earthy colours and natural textures. All rooms have en-suite bathrooms, plush four-poster or twin beds with mosquito nets, and private verandas with beautiful views onto the lodge gardens and the mountains beyond.
The lodge was designed around the original 1920's farmhouse and renovated to resemble the original building as closely as possible, complete with traditional corrugated iron roofs and wide terraces ideal for relaxed socialising and sunset drinks.
Evenings are spent in traditional African style around a unique "boma" with the sounds of the crackling fire and creatures drifting up from the lush valley below. The restaurant serves hearty meals focused on quality, flavour and wholesome goodness and and a choice of fine South African wines from the lodge's exclusive cellar collection.
The pool is on the edge of a cliff where the land drops away to the valley below, offering breath-taking views onto mountain slopes. Victorian bath and a Zanzibar daybed set in the bush with exquisite views can be booked for your exclusive experience.
At Camp Figtree guided walks, mountain bikes, quad bikes and canoes are available to explore the area.
Camp Figtree operates daily guided tours, using open Land Rovers to provide guests with some of the finest elephant viewing in the world.
This is a malaria free area and families with children of all ages are welcome.
