Originally opened in 1906, this historic boutique 4-star hotel, is only 200 m from Lake Bled. After extensive renovations, the Hotel Triglav reopened in 2009 with all the trimmings of a modern hotel but keeps the authenticity and atmosphere that has its guests returning again and again.

Located on a hill, it’s defining features is its sweeping views of Lake Bled and the surrounding mountains. The hotel’s interiors are adorned in antiques, re-telling stories of times gone by, and they’ll even let you tinkle the ivories of their (almost) centenarian piano. Throughout the hotel’s rooms, bright, neutral hues are complemented by carefully chosen artworks and antique furniture. allow you to keep one eye on the real world. A Finnish sauna, relaxation room and reading room provide peaceful space to unwind.

All rooms and suites are comfortably equipped with many amenities, including air conditioning, and offer beautiful lake views. Each are unique, featuring different works of art, collected by the owner.

At Restaurant 1906 – awarded five stars by the Slovenian national press – chef Jure Kordež prides himself on delivering innovative dishes with a touch of nostalgia. High quality seasonal and mostly local farm ingredients go into food inspired by the natural surroundings. Try the buckwheat ravioli with buttermilk ice cream for starters. Although it’s unlikely you’ll get through all 150 labels, the hotel’s professional sommelier, Damir Salkic will keep you right as you journey through a diverse landscape of local wines.

Don’t miss the chance to explore your alpine surroundings, including the ridiculously pretty Lake Bled and its ethereal island, Bled Castle and its jaw-dropping views, plus the untouched natural beauty of Triglav National Park.
